    Tip: You can increase the max upload size in WordPress in the PHP settings as shown here:

    This will help if you need to load larger plugins, themes or other files.

    Thanks...I was able to set up vultr with your previous tutorial. It was smooth. Although I had some few challenge but navigated through with answers in public forums. I found out that no matter what challenge you encounter in doing it, someone else has had similar challenge and the answers are there.
    $6 per month is quite cheap and it's extremely fast. Compared to other host companies with shared hosting that charges $10 to $12 and are not as fast as this. My pagespeed score were 97 mobile and 100 desktop.
    I have been using it for the past 5 months. It's been all good.

      @@IdeaSpot I'm still using Cloudways and find their product to be really good and very stable. But I'm looking for a good low-cost and flexible solution for deploying and hosting websites for clients on a monthly care plan. Your latest Vultr setup looks perfect for that. So the next step for me is to road test it with my own sites, make sure there aren't going to be any issues that I can't resolve easily, then if all goes well, this becomes my new standard setup. Can't thank you enough for everything I've learned already through your videos. This channel is basically a degree course in WordPress and web hosting. You're a legend Alex!

    Prices have changed, unfortunately, although I suppose everything has in the past 2 years since this video was published. Vultr no longer offers the free version of Plesk. I was excited to get setup on the Vultr platform, but the monthly cost of $23 for Plesk is twice the price of the VPS; bummer.

      @@garrettstevensen2467 yes I always use cloudways for important sites. Considering the client pays its worth every bit extra. With Vultr you basically have to deal with everything yourself. Luckily for Plesk the community is awesome. Its why I think I will choose Plesk over cyberpanel for future servers. Ive had a few issues with cyber panel and its been harder to find answers.

    It would be great to have a tutorial on how to manage a lot of inbox in a server like this, so when you get to that point you have to think of having a big amount of GB prepare for it. Blockstorage, Objet Storage or even in the main VPS storage. This is the hard part. When we are talking about just 5 inboxes and no big size, this isn't a problem of course. No one talks about the space required for this inboxes and the cost of it. With a base of 64 GB in a server that is going to be shared, if you create a mail server, you have to think about how to scale it. Go for it Alex. Would be great.

    I am considering the idea of managing my own as I kind of do this anyway, so I might as well manage this myself. Every time I want something it seems that I am limited to what I can do as I prefer to self-manage it myself. I am technical so this is not really difficult for me. Thanks for this Video. I think I will start with Plesk and then will eventually move to Cyberpannel as it gives one more flexibility long term. I may even just go with Cyberpannel as you do have a very good video on this. I find most hosting options are very limited and it drives me nuts. Also, Cloudways looks like they are going to be dropping Vultr soon. This did not make me happy plus they have increased their prices (Cloudways) which is annoying. I will have more control and more options by managing it myself as I do most everything else anyway.

      James... that was *exactly* my same experience with Vultr. Their support will respond after 2-3 days, with a link that says, "Read the F.A.Q." or something of the sort. They absolutely do not care, at all. Their "support" appears to only forward F.A.Q's, or to give status updates about their server uptime/downtime.
      Cloudways is a breath of fresh air. They have the best support there is, and, they give you Vultr's same high speed servers. It's a beautiful marriage made in heaven.

      @JohnsonJLB Před 2 lety +1

      @@garrettstevensen2467 I think that's just a misunderstanding on you and OP's part. When going to Vultr direct you're paying for a SELF-MANAGED server. That's why it's only $6 when you go to Cloudways they manage it for you (backups, support, preinstall of WP and admin console) hence the $12. You do need to be more self-supporting and technical when going the self-managed route. I think Alex mentions this in is videos. I agree the extra $6 for Cloudways is well worth it for most people.
