Thanks so much! Just what i needed. A tip when installing new Wordpress (when expected more than one wordpress install) is to also change the database prefix. This means that if you need to edit in the database directly, there wont be any confusion about which database you are editing

I am trying to migrate a website and got the error browser is not accepting cookie on wordpress login when using plesk given address. It seems to be a known bugs that happens when you didnt point your domain to plesk yet. Do you have solution to this?
That’s pretty normal - I worked around this in the video @10:45, editing the hosts file on our computer let’s us use the domain on the new IP before changing the DNS at the end. I maybe could’ve explained this part more 😅
@@IdeaSpot followrd your guide yet it didn't work. It wont let me login and keep giving the same error. The problem i think is because login page keeps redirecting to real domain instead of letting us enter using plesk domain

Listen, quick issue: I'm migrating a site as per your instructions to VULTR + PLESK and all is well, except that all exiting 301 redirects (I had them set up via Rank Math) are now on infinite loop and breaking site nav. are there some sort of .htaccess permissions that need to be set on PLESK or VULTR to allow thins functionality? Been trying to figure this out for a few hours with no luck, so thought I might ask :)

Hi, Cloudways have their own panel (which is pretty good), but you can get Plesk directly from most of the VPS providers, Vultr, Digital Ocean, Linode, AWS etc - which saves a few dollars.

Thnks for this great tutorial, one thing, after migrating my site, i clicked on wordpress then scan wordpress sites, it showed the site i migrated, but it says " not secure" even though i click rescan the same thing, not securre, could you please do a video about that? thank you so much! note: plesk secures sites if you install wordpress there, but if you migratr yuour site then it will show that warning security message.
The site you imported probably has different security settings and plesk will show you what to change when you click the 'check security' you'll see a red exclamation point for the issue, often it is "Restrict access to files and directories" - for example wp-config.php should be set to only 'owner' > read, write support.managed.com/kb/a642/how-to-fix-permissions-on-your-site-through-the-plesk-control-panel.aspx but many other hosts will use another setting
Have you tried moving a site to a new server before? What was your experience like?
I have first installed the Wordpress and then added all the plugins I have, then imported the xml file. It worked.

Try backing up your .htaccess and test using a fresh default one: blog.hubspot.com/website/fix-redirect-loop-error-wordpress

It is preferable to execute all in command line without panel and all in one packages ?
It can save some memory to run from command line only, but not really a strong preference either way
