Ok so Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3 feels like a home run for the MCU. After a lot of underwhelming projects recently it did feel like the franchise had somewhat lost it's appeal.
Instead of the heart and creativity that had once made the franchise special we were reduced to what felt like products coming off an assembly line. Whether it was in the cinemas or on the shows, it just seemed like Marvel were bombarding us with a lot of medicority where the focus had solely been on making as much money as possible.
We've had Ant-man and The Wasp Quantumidia, Multiverse of Midness and many more.
There's a lot of talk of superhero fatigue at the moment and with Marvel being the biggest producer of content in the genre it felt like thisonce gigantic juggernaut had somehwat lost it's way.
It's the same thing that has unfortunately happened with Star Wars and whereas these films once felt like major events that you couldn't miss out on, people are happy to skip them now because they don't feel like they really matter.
The...the midilorian?
Now you know I love comic books but it had even got to a point where I thought that things were getting way too oversaturated and there weren't any stories that felt like they innovated and raised the bar. I was talking with the Canadian Lad about this last week and we got onto how many projects there were coming out and how it's also really cringey when CZcamsrs name drop other youtubers to make themselves sound important.

Did you notice the mountain-ous carnage of snuffed sentient lives - to save a SINGLE life?
"The needs of the one outweigh the needs of the few, or the many"!
Perfect massacre?
What makes this sequence so meaningful is seeing the bond that holds them together after a runtime of keeping these characters apart.
yeah so good
@@heavyspoilers I can't wait to re-watch it.
yes
Thats the power that Infinity War and Endgame had. So happy that they were still able to do that with GOTG 3
That hallway fight scene was 🔥🔥🔥
yeah so good
Incredible
🤌🤌🤌🤌
Imaging there was daredevil in this hallway scene
No sleep till Brooklyn was the icing on the cake
I loved this scene. It perfectly showed off each of their different abilities and chemistry together. It was so good. And the scene that came after it with Rocket and the High Evolutionary was absolute perfection
Perfect movie all around, honestly
@@chasehedges6775 True dat!
That corridor scene was one of the best action scenes Marvel has ever put out
Agree 100%
💯
I liked this scene for a different reason. When Rocket says that he's done running and turns to go fight. The others all automatically turn to join him, apart from Gamora, who initially protests that they're all going to die.
This shows their bond as a family, because what matters to Rocket matters to all of them. So they immediately back him up without question. This Gamora doesn't have that bond with them so hesitates at first.
GoTG has the best Trilogy in the MCU. I used to think Capt did, but it was only because of 2 movies. I love all three of the guardians movies, Gunns use of music is amazing. I’m excited to see what he does over at DC
Agreed 👍
Superman will be great, Man of steel was underrated but James Gunn's Superman will be great
I really liked first avenger
@@metallicnole4514 def a classic!
Captain America and Spider-Man trilogies had an Avengers team-up style movie ,that doesn't count for a trilogía, so Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is the best Trilogy
I loved how the slow motion team walk mirrored the guardians standing up as a team in the first film but was a backwards reflection. while first he was the most reluctant to risk his life, this time it's Rocket leading the charge. Before Gamora was quick to move to heroism but now she's the last one to accept responsibility. And Nebula who was a solitary villain, is now one of the first to March with her new found family.
I don't remember crying this much in a marvel movie. The movie was really full of heart and emotion. I love guardians of the galaxy and every single movie has a special place in my heart but this one definitely triumphs even its predecessors. All of the characters were so good and they were all very important for the plot. Seeing nebula becoming a person who is looking out for others and helps others without expecting anything in return, mantis becoming a more fleshed put and deep character, quill and his inability to move on from gamora's passing until the end, rocket's past. They all really pierced my heart like an arrow. I especially became a fan of mantis after this movie. She feels like her own character now instead of being a sidekick of the guardians, she serves a meaningful purpose for the plot and her emotional moments are so strong. Every single scene she cried, i cried with her. Not to mentions she's so adorable and sweet. I remember like yesterday when she first met guardians and helped them defeat ego, and joining them afterwards. She went from a person who was too naive and always needed others's guidance to do something to a person who wants to discover herself and her place in the universe and she is not afraid of being alone anymore. Such a good character development in my opinion. I really love guardians of the galaxy and they have such a special place in my heart, the scene where they disbanded and honored rocket as the new leader with the gesture, I cried so hard, because it wasn't just them parting ways with each other, it was also us parting ways with them. It was like saying goodbye to our childhood and teenager years. The only thing left that connected me to my youth is now gone, and i don't think the mcu will ever be the same for me anymore with the absence of guardians.
Great point, feel the same way.
Can’t say it better! While I enjoyed vol. 1 & 2, I felt that some guardians were never given enough screen time. In vol. 3 I feel all of them were given equivalent amount of screen time & not just that but their physical abilities & character all shone through. I never felt for Mantis before vol. 3 but now I do. I only ever liked Rocket & I was looking forward to vol. 3 mainly because of Rocket (& the camaraderie of the group & the music) but now I’m starting to like Mantis & Groot too. Do you think we’re ever going to see Mantis appear again in the MCU? My prediction is Quill will somehow end up working with the Avengers & we would see a new Guardians team with Rocket as the captain (they better not screw that up) but those would probably take some years. As for the others I don’t think we’ll see them again :(
Nevermind Marvel. I've never cried at a superhero movie until now, and I'm including Logan on that list. I mean wow, seriously wow.
@@cameronjosephvideos5942 Definitely man. This movie was truly something else. What an awasome send off to such an awasome team. I just hope they return at least one last time in the future you know.
The scene was amazing, but specifically the slow-mo shot of Rocket in the air shooting his blaster @6:23 was absolutely perfect. I legit teared up with joy at that moment in the theater.
That was hands down my fav moment 🤙
Agree! Love that whole sequence! But when Rocket “flew” through the air with his gun I went woo-hoo! I cried so much for him earlier & then I was so happy for him at that moment!
The most epic part is when all the guardians follow Rocket without saying anything. When he said "Im done with running" and whole team start to follow him, it's not only about the rescue but they want a revenge for Rocket too. And the music kick in make the scene step in the whole new level of epicness
That scene was perfect and I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw Gunn’s vision
i could watch this scene over and over again. i would loveeee to hear the team explain how they choreographed it cuz it was mind blowing to me. i feel like action sequences can blur together these days but nebula’s neck, the shot thru the hole in the body, and other moments were literally iconic
Thanks🙏🏽
Glad you loved these moments
Another thing that stood out for me about the scene is that, Gamora enters the scene last due to her not really wanting to, but having to get involved. Even then, due to the cohesiveness of the rest of the Guardians team, the scene ends up with Gamora right at the foreground or the end of the hall. Meaning that due to the Guardians teamwork, they’ve cleared a path for Gamora to go from the back to the front even if she was a lone wolf through it.. hope that makes sense 😊
I truly had avengers vibes during that fight scene. Each of the guardians getting its own bit of screen time during the fight really was epic. That along with epic music
Amazing
It was a perfect way to exit to a rival studio, Gunn showing them what they're gonna miss. They had the perfect cast. Everything falling into place in this film set up a grandslam 👏
I loved this scene. The buildup. All the guardians joining Rocket. Even Gamora becoming a Guardian again even if just for a bit. The the song. Epic. The doors open and wow! Best mini-battle scene ever. The choreography was perfect. The movie was great but this scene I could watch over and over. Only rivaled by the first time the Avengers assembled in the first Avengers movie. It was just perfect
That was arguably the best scene I've seen in any Marvel movie how he pulled that off was genius
Pure genius and he might just be the goat
That hallway one take fight scene was so epic! Def a standout scene and must have been so hard to accomplish!
It's also how the guys were all fired up and in the zone... in a way I've rarely seen.
Pure choreography perfection 🥰
I’ll never get superhero fatigue. I was born in 85 and was a full blown 90’s kid. I’ll eat up all the Marvel and DC, especially Batman!
Also, I can’t wait to see GOTG3 again. So damn good!
same
I feel you. I'm in the same boat. 90's kid.
I know that’s right!
@@fearless6947 🦾
@@tonyOn1ce Hell yeah, yes sir!
Leave it to Gunn for teamwork to make a satisfying action sequence.
Honestly could watch this movie every week. Just amazing.
Me too in a heartbeat.
I'm actually glad that you mentioned this scene because it absolutely stood out in the film. I'm curious James's ideas behind it, but it felt like after three films,, they finally perfected group fighting dynamic
After blubbering through 99% of the movie, this part swung all emotions in the other direction. Gunn’s a genius.
It really pays off very well.
That fight was awesome! Going to miss James Gunn and the Guardians
Dope “hallway fight” scene. Probably best Guardians fight scene in their franchise. I love the Rocket vs High Evolutionary scene too. H.E. Talks all this shit while throwing Rocket around with gravity powers and Rocket just calmly figures out how to counteract H.E.’s powers with some device. It was a perfect depiction of what separates them. H.E. creates out of some arrogant need to make things how he believes they should be. Rocket creates things to solve problems. If you look back at every movie Rocket is always using his engineering talents to solve problems for the team or the … galaxy.
I was leaving the theater out to the ally by where i parked I heard the scene going out since the exit was by a later showing. I almost walked back in to see one more time.
This scene gave me chill numbs from the very beginning to the end of it. Absolutely best scene in the entire franchise
Rocket, Teefs, Floor, go now!!!
I just saw the movie last night and thought it was brilliant. Especially that fight scene. It's a shame that Gunn is leaving this franchise, but I look forward to what he can do with Superman and the new DCU.
The corridor No Sleep till Brooklyn scene was so damn good that it made my nether regions engorge.
The scene is nuts. Made me want to see it in 3d just for that
it was amazing in 4DX
It's worth it in 3D.
This was my favorite scene too! The audience audibly gasped/groaned both when groot exploded the enemy, and when nebula cracked her joints back into place. Watching rocket jump from enemy to enemy shooting, and then jump on groot to blast baddies, was a particular highlight as well.
What I loved is that you can tell that it was meant to be watched in 3D but how it was put together still gave it that 3D feel
The hallway fight to rule all the hallway fights !
And there has been quite a few really good previous examples, like Old Boy, the OG hallway oner fight, Daredevil, Shang-Chi's bus scene (yes, I count that as a hallway), Darth Vader in Rogue One, and Luke in Mandalorian s2 finale.
I think the only one that is still superior is the oner in Tom Yun Goong, with Tony Jaa running up the stairs of the tower, but that one is untouchable.
If we are stepping out of the marvel region you have forgotten the raid hallway scene
My emotions through this movie was insane 😂😢😮absolute master piece 👏
What made that scene so awesome aswell was the song choice No sleep till brooklyn
I really didn’t like this movie the first time I saw it, but after seeing it again, and letting go of what I thought it was going to be… I enjoyed it so much more. I think Gunn has done a lot of brilliant things here in weaving this complicated and fastening tapestry of characters together. I think we may look back to this film as the set up for so much of the future MCU characters/stories that will follow. Great video guys, truly one of your bests. Worth sharing and watching again!
This pathway fight was my favorite. The camera dangling and it was magical.
That fight scene was hands down the best of the MCU.
The entire movie is a masterpiece. There are so many moments that have their own impact. Worth rewatching again and again.
Seen it 11 times so far and it still hits hard.
Everyone needs to see it in theaters.
It’s a 42 out of 10 movie experience imo.
MARVELOUS SCENE. The best of each Guardian.
Yeah that hallway scene was fuckin badass. The beastie boys on the track too was icing on the cake. Iconic scene
a scene worth the price of admission
I already re-watched the movie just so I could see the hallway scene again
No Sleep hallway scene was GREAT... singing along with it while watching them kill everything, so well done!
Top 5 fight scene in the entire MCU 🔥
It felt like the old avengers films, like AOU where all of the avengers are protecting the gravity machine and the camera pans around showing each of their abilities
I was at the end with marvel until this movie. Wow it was amazing. The hallway fight was one of the best scenes I have ever seen. Great video mate!
The hallway scene is so well crafted and choreographed and didnt feel overly CGI. The lead up to it was amazingly done. Each character showed their unique ability. I think this might be the best well rounded not over the top fight sequence in the entire MCU. I really loved Thor & Iron Man & Cap vs Thanos but Fat Thor really took me out of the moment.
Gotta be one of the best MCU fight scenes ever
Thank you for echoing exactly what I was thinking about that scene in relation to the Cinematic Marvel Universe so far in this 2023 year.
I love your commentary and all the voice over artists here. Great writing and very self aware. Funny and insightful. Love movies and art and such also. Thanks a lot and I WILL remember to like and subscribe lol
Loved the movie and your take Paul. This movie's success makes me all the more excited for Gunn's DCU. The man clearly understands comics and is a fantastic director, very excited and hopeful for his take on Superman.
Nebula repairing herself especially after Adam Warlock beats the piss out of her was bad ass.
It was awesome… perfect pacing 👏🏻🙌🏻
Thanks for the info
I loved that hall fight. Good send off
I wish you'd done the Rocket, Lila, Floor and tooth scene 💔😭 I think if I see it again now know what floor was repeating omg
yeah that was amazing too
'Rocket, teefs, floor go now'
I agree with everything you said. I can’t wait to see it again.
It was my first time watching guardians of galaxy and every time when the music slaps they make a scenario masterpiece
Soon as I saw the title of this video I KNEW this was the scene you would be talking about!...
Of course, I whispered (loudly): HALLWAY FIGHT! It was the dopest blend of choreography, cinematography and teamwork ever in the MCU.
That hallway scene made me go OH YEAH like Rocket 😅
Really liked it, and it was the 1st MCU movie that I wanted to watch again almost immediately after watching it in a long time!
I loved this movie and will be seeing it again in a few days. It's a great end to the GOTG trilogy and I’m sad they're no longer together. At least we know that they will continue their awesome adventures individually. Thanks for always bringing us the best, Paul, stay safe and we’ll see you on the next one.
The Hallway Fight is one of the best and well executed fights in The MCU. Wish to get more unique and thrilling action scenes in The Future Of The MCU.
Super 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 and worthy of all the praises
I was watching this in the theater w my mouth on the floor 😮
also loved how in sync (you know for the movie) they were fighting if you look back they used to get in each others way a little but that hallway made them a perfect team
Love the vid! Also dont know if anyones ever told you but you’re literally Patrick Corbin of the Washington Nationals doppleganger 😂
Looked it up and it seems legit
This scene was also amazing in 3d as well.
They finally perfected the badass walk and it was to one of the most badass songs to ever be made
I still have Guardians of the Galaxy comics from 1992! The old OG crew were in them then. Glad I kept most of those old comics.
FYI I’m buying that JC/Drax shirt! That’s awesome. Love all the shirts but Paul’s and Ryan’s ‘Doug’ shirts are my favorite. Great designs!
Gotta do videos on Silo, definitely the must watch show of the summer.
When you have heavy spoilers and screencrush releasing videos on the same day talking about this particular scene you just know it was completely mad. Just about the best scene in the movie and one of the all time great action sequences. Can't wait to watch it again this weekend👌✌😀😁🥰
Everyone loves a great hallway fight , going back to old boy and moving onto rogue one and now guardians 3 .
3:00 - “Their faithful squirrel/hedgehog/hamster/rabbit”. Never forget the rabbit. 🤨
This won’t be the resurrection of the MCU but it truly gives me hope the DCU will be amazing
This is a hallway fight scene that would make even Charlie Cox jealous.
This one was flashier but between the two I think the hallway scene in the first season of Daredevil was better.
Seeing Nebula come back together was really cool.
Best breakdown of G3
This scene was great!
I loved this movie soo much, teared up wayy too many times
Paul's puns not only snap my head to my back, they cure me a second later!
That was an amazing sequence for sure loved the movie, love your reviews/reactions always. The music was off the charts this time around. Blurp I need more Blurp 😂😂🎵💖🦝✌️👩🚀🐾🐕🦺🚀🚀🦷🐇🦦
I agree I even said to my daughter while watching it that was one of the best fight scenes ever…
A great ending to the great trilogy great video Sir ❣️
This is probably going to go alongside some of my all time favorite action scenes like the tank fight in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade or the speedboat fight from face off.
Definitely my fave scene had to put it on TikTok lol
THANKS for this!!!!! Sorry that your bundles were not good! The ones Mom got at the supermarket (?) that I got in the late '70s-early '80s were great--a quickly-aging FF fighting for Xandar and, with HERBIE the Robot, looking for Galactus!!
Two ministers of mayhem that were brilliant! Even better than the Avengers in NY - the technological effects were incredible. Can’t wait to see how they did it. Thanks
I agree!
Soooo good
facts!!
It was beautiful 🥺
"ROCKET, TEETHS, FLOOR GO NOW!!! ROCKET, TEETHS, FLOOR GO NOW!!!" was the moment I fell in love with James Gunn. It took my breath away. I'm not crying YOU are!
I also like the fact that during the teams first mission together in guardians 1 it was their captain Star Lord in the middle as they walk though the hallway and this time its Rocket that's in the middle symbolizing that he is the captain now not Quill. I also think this is Gunn's way of telling us that despite us meeting Peter before the rest of the team this trilogy has really been Rocket's story not Peter's.
All writers have their favorite characters: It's crystal clear that Rocket is Gunn's favorite and I'm glad for it. I love seeing characters I normally didn't pay attention become fully fleshed out by someone who loves them.
Perfection❤❤😊😊
