I don't do comments a lot I just wanted to thank you because I come back to this video time and time again for refreshers and information and just appreciate all of your info! Thank you!
Glad it helped!
Angie - I have learned so much from your channel - I'm just getting started with sublimation printing for tumblers and mugs and have followed your advise with much success! Thank you for taking time to teach so precisely. I can't wait to see more videos on sublimation mug/tumbler projects!
Thank you just got the Epson printer for my birthday and waiting on the ink and paper so I can make my first project thanks for your tutorials on how to do it !!!!
Love how you explain how to do all your projects, especially for us beginners. You are a great "teacher", thank you!!!
Thank you so much!
I would be so lost without your video's! Everything I've learned so far has been because or you!!
you truly are the best at explaining and are an amazing teacher . Thank you I loaded my ink today in my epson 2027 after 9 weeks of healing my broken shoulder and I have had my supplies for about 7 weeks but could not do much with my arm in a sling. I am trying to find the best program to use with my Sub printer I also watched your video on setting up all my settings. Thanks again.
So far I’ve only used Cricut print and cut on my sublimation printer- this is definitely the next step I needed - great video as always
Glad it was helpful!
Oh my goodness! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thank you soooo much!!
Thank you thank you thank you. Month ago you showed us how to covert the eco tank. Tonight was the cherry on top. Best tutorial ever on sublimation. I couldn't go to bed until I got it fone. Thznk you.

@@AngieHolden you have taught me so much. ❤️
Thank you so much for this video.
You are so welcome!
THANK YOU, Youre a great teacher. Hi from Hawaii
Welcome!
Angie you talk slow and I can understand you good. You are the best teacher.
Thanks!
Hello! Thank you for your videos. I have learned a lot from them. I have one question. Can I leave my setting on high speed printing?
No. Turn that off.
Great video! Thank you, Angie!!
Thanks for this video! I have the epson et 4760 and am experiencing banding even after the cleanings. Any tips!?
First, do you have fast printing turned off and best quality on? Then make sure if you are in a humid area that you are storing your sublimation paper in the plastic packaging.
Thank you so much! I have bought a printer, ink and other goodies but I am lost! This is the most helpful video so far! Do I need to wash my material such as a shirt or fabric before sublimating?
No! They should be fine.
Thank you well explain to all programs and the subject . One thing was the tape heat resistant or regular?
Heat resistant.
Hi Angie thanks for such informative info! What is the best way to make something if it's getting the too large method for cricut? But you need to print together to make a shirt. Can you separate? Or can I save it and just print it like you would a photo?
You can just print like you would a photo. You don't need Cricut Design Space for sublimation.
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey how you doing i saw your video and I also star doing sublimation.... but in canvas you can crop it down them get it to the size you want to ...ps thanks for the videos learn a lot from them
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
You are like taking a college course in sublimation printing. Angie, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I want to do a Halloween quilt for my grandson and include squares of fotos of him in his costumes over the years. Will sublimation printing on fabric work for this? I'm assuming if I can do shirts I should be able to use fabric as long as the polyester blend is correct.
I think it should work! Maybe buy a yard to test first then buy the rest.
Please add pictures or comments if you tried do use for Halloween quilt!
Would love to see update!
Hi! Thanks for the video! Im testing it out now and I noticed that my colors aren’t are great. For example, I printed black font and it came out a little gray on the shirt. Any suggestions? I didn’t have it at 400 degs and I also noticed your paper is pretty much white after you press it.. mine still has the image. Any help helps! Thanks!
You can look into color correction: czcams.com/video/YqW5199ceOc/video.html&lc=UgxO9dGU1wXPuA9G-rB4AaABAg
I would also make sure you are pressing for the right amount of time and at the right pressure.
Thanks
You are a wonderful person, and I prefer to follow you, I see the beautiful thing in you
Hi. I love your videos, they are so informative. I'm planning on making care bear t shirts for Halloween and am struggling with how to make them. I bought the svgs for the different bear characters. I plan on using the coordinating colored t shirts to go with the bear. Do I use HTV using the layering technique, or print and cut on printable vinyl or do I use a sublimation printer? I just bought an epson to convert but haven't started yet. It's all a little intimidating. I appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you in advance.
First, for sublimation you would need polyester shirts that are light colors. So I would say HTV would be best. I just use the complexity of the design to decide between layered and printable HTV.
Hi Angie...I love your videos as you given some thoughts into wanting to persue sublimation printing. But since you use Design Space for many features, I thought this might be a good tip. If you print to a PDF to save it. Then use a graphic program, you can edit out the black box thus saving ink. What do you think of that tip?
I would just use the graphic program from the start in that case.
@@AngieHolden True. The. Again sometimes some programs do things easier then others. Thanks for the quick response.
Definitely! Thanks for commenting!
Hello I love your videos, I need a little help, I’m printing using photoshop and I can’t get the right sizing down for a shirt I want to know if theirs a trick to knowing what size to print out a logo or how you can manage sizing on photoshop so I know what size it’s going to print?
If you are struggling, I would cut out a piece of paper the size you think you want the logo and put it on the shirt to get an idea if that looks right. Keep trying until you get that right then make the logo the same size in photoshop before printing.
Can you do video on checking nozzle cleaning
Hi Angie! I love your videos! What printer do you prefer Epson or Sawgrass??? Thank you!
I have only tried an Epson as of right now.
Hi Angie. If I wanted to do an image bigger than what the printer can typically print, do you have any tips?
I don't have a video on that yet as I am not happy with any of my methods for doing it yet anyway.
Hi the printer you use can it be used for other printing, or just for sublimation? Is there a less expensive printer? I like your videos, very helpful.
Just sublimation. Here is what I have: czcams.com/video/-f4oH2x-Nu0/video.html&lc=UgyrlqOs1Wpy8H_Ok-R4AaABAg
hello Angie, I was wondering if saving the image as a PDF will affect the quality of the sublimation print at all. I have saved mine as PDF instead of png, so the size would not change as you suggested. I just want to make sure saving as pdf will not hurt the quality of the colors if i do not save as png. Thanks!
As long as you save as a print quality PDF, you will be fine.
Hi Angie, thank you for all the great and easy to understand 😊 dumb question, do I need a sublimation printer and a Cricut to do projects, or can I print directly on the Cricut?
It really depends on WHAT you want to make. Some projects you can just make with a Cricut. Other projects you can just make with a sublimation printer. I would pick a project first then go from there!
Thank you for your response, I want to do mugs, t-shirts, and whatever else I think of LOL
For mugs, sublimation is a great option as it is super permanent but the blank mugs will be more expensive as they have a special coating. For shirts, you can only do sublimation when the shirt is at least 75% polyester. So if you only want to make cotton shirts, just a Cricut is what you would need. Does that make sense at all?
Hi! I am new to this and would like to try it. After printing, can I just directly do the shirt press
Yes you can. As long as it is at least 75% polyester.
I’ve been watching several videos for converting Epson printer. Can you tell if cheaper Epson printers will perform as well as the 4700 you demonstrate.
Any Epson EcoTank with 4 colors will work with this process. As far as I can tell, they are about the same.
Hi, I am just setting up my epson ET3850. Should I update Firmware? Please advise. I want to get ready for sub camp. Thanks FYI I use Hippo ink
I don't usually update firmware. But that is just me personally!
Enjoy your videos! Thank you ! I am wanting to start a small business. Mostly because I want to make me & my daughter shirts lol I wear a 2x, so will need something able to print an imagine for 2x. What printer would u recommend??
Thank you 😊
This will print up to 8 1/2 x 14 which I think would be large enough.
What software is the best to use for sizing the paper and sizing image among the options you mentioned that has more pros than cons
Photoshop is best but it costs money. If you don't want to spend money, go with the other two options.
Hi, great you tube. Is it possible to use the Epson Eco-Tank 4800 as a Sublimation Printer?
Any Epson EcoTank that uses 4 colors of ink can be converted the same way: czcams.com/video/-f4oH2x-Nu0/video.html&lc=UgzqNAqh62qGLZpoDv54AaABAg
Can you use the print option on the printer for graphics, or only printer. For example, if my graphic designer designs something for me, can I just copy the graphic onto the sublimation paper and then transfer it to a t-shirt or bag? Or does it only with with printed graphics?
You can print anything onto a sublimation printer and transfer it. If you can print it, it will transfer.
Question when doing print and cut on any design what paper do we do to print it on and how de we cut it next if not bieng printed on cutting paper
First, you don't have to cut it for sublimation. You can just cut away that box with scissors. With sublimation, you don't have to worry about the white area. However, if you want to use your Cricut, it will cut sublimation paper with no problem.
Can you use the print out more than once? And do I have to use one of the programs or could I just design on word document and print?
You cannot use the print out more than once. You can just print from anything!
Do you recommend washing the sublimation shirts before wearing? Also do you have to wait so long after pressing before washing?
They are permanent right after pressing. No need to wait. And you don't have to wash before wearing at all!
Can an Epson Eco Tank with sublimation ink be used for regular printing as well with the sub ink?
No it cannot.
Angie I am new to sublimation printers. I have a Epson ET 4850, and I want to convert it over to a sublimation printer. What is the best quality sublimation ink to purchase?
Try this: czcams.com/video/sm3NQ8pYbg0/video.html
Can I use an Epson 2720 to print heat transfers for tshirt making.? Thanks for ur time….
You can convert any EcoTank to a sublimation printer. See this video: czcams.com/video/-f4oH2x-Nu0/video.html&lc=UgzqlwTBQTxJZlBfEA54AaABAg
Angie after using this printer for awhile do still recommend this printer? Is it working great for you - quality and ease of use. Also, I found COSMOS ink that fits onto the nozzle on the printer without using the needle - do you think this is a good ink?
I do still recommend this one and I have had zero issues with mine. I am looking to test more in the future just for comparison. Hiipoo ink actually makes bottles without the needle now and that is what I use. I have heard Cosmos is a good ink though!
How long does your ink typically last for? How many mug/tumblers etc do you think you could print before having to replace the ink?
I really don't know. It lasts a really long time.
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. Can you tell me if the version pf Photoshop is the $9.99 mo plan?
Any version of Photoshop will work. I have an Adobe subscription for all of their programs.
@@AngieHolden are the features you showed in this video all available in the $9.99 version photography plan?
Hi! Greetings from PR! I hope you are doing well today. You've been an inspiration for me to start with sublimation, so I appreciate the awesome content that you put out there; it's helped me tons👍. I have a question. My printer is an Epson ET 2760, and when I print I see the so called "pizza roller" marks on my image. I have search for the best settings for my printer; they have reduced somewhat, but they are still there. I've read about buying a sublimation paper with less grams in order for it to dry quicker (I've been using A-sub 125g), I've read about cleaning cloths (my printer is new so I haven't tried that yet...) and have watched many videos but to no avail. I don't know what to do as I think I've tried everything. Is this a normal occurrence that the rollers press on the paper so much that it leaves an imprint? Is there any way to reduce this even more? I appreciate your help. Have a great day and God bless.
I’m curious is it humid where you are?
@@livingthenanalife9943 Hi! God bless you. Where I live tends to be quite humid, especially now that summertime is approaching. Could humidity be the problem?
Also turn off high speed printing. So best quality, no high speed. And make sure you have it set to matte paper.
@@AngieHolden Thank you very much. Those are the exact settings I have. Maybe my printer came defective. Thanks for your time. Have a nice day😊
@@sandramercado4729 I am a retired technology administrator. I have seen roller marks on paper caused by high humidity. Does your printer have a paper tray? If so don’t leave your paper in the tray. God bless you
Can this ink be used for regular office printing as well?
No it cannot.
Is it possible to actually see you use sublimation on a shot glass? They would make great Christmas gifts but not sure how you would "press" them. Thank you for your great videos.
Try this: czcams.com/video/sgH7HzWRi7c/video.html
If you have the icc profile installed on your computer for the Epson 4700 printer and you still print through design space on do you only have to print through Photoshop, Canva or Affinity? I purchased Affinity Designer
You would have to print through a program that can use the ICC profiles. Design Space cannot.
@@AngieHolden thanks
Angie, are you using windows,i've just spent over 18 hours deleting my sub printer ET-4700 to get that access as shown when you use print option,i'm on an Imac and also a Macbook Pro.I enen tried D/L drivers from USA and Canada no joy,i'm in UK .cheers Ray
It is windows. I am zero help when it comes to a Mac interface. I am sorry.
Is there a cd you can buy for photoshop or do you have to pay a monthly membership?
I know I pay a monthly fee. Not sure if you can do a one time any more.
Any thoughts on the Epson EcoTank ET-2760?
You can convert any EcoTank to a sublimation printer. Here is my video on that: czcams.com/video/-f4oH2x-Nu0/video.html&lc=UgytRuH16oEZMGte5r14AaABAg
Are we able to download images from the internet? I’m new to all this and have cricut maker 3 and this same sublimation printer and ink

hi, Angie just asking if I already put the normal ink into my Eco tank and wanted to convert it into the sublimation ink, can i still do that? Please i need your help as i am already anxious of what i did i thought i can print with this ink. Thank you and love watching all your shared ideas. xx
You need to completely drain and flush the printer. Even then you may have to print several prints before you actually can sublimate anything.
@@AngieHolden Thank you so much i really appreciate your time. xx
Hi do we have to run the disc of Epson et 2720 in our laptop
You can download the driver from the internet.
I got my 4700 today and now I can't get the red lines out of photo when I print it out. I used sub paper, plain paper, cleaned heads, and all the cleaning in maintenance. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do
When using the my circuit to print words, does the mirror setting have to be on?
You need to mirror any design with a sublimation printer. You can mirror in the print settings or using something like Cricut Design Space. Either one.
Angie hi. I’ve watched several of your videos on sublimation and was wondering if you have heard of Forever sublimation transfer paper that allows sublimation on dark 100% cotton t shirts without any other chemicals or glitter/flocked vinyl. I saw this on a CZcams video from printZebra and wonder what your thoughts were on using it.
I have a ton of these products in my craft room as tests are coming soon!
@@AngieHolden as I watched more printZebra videos I saw a comment they made that they no longer recommend Forever sublimation transfer paper. I’ve asked them why and am waiting for their reply. I can let you know if they do, if you’re interested.
Oh let me know! I am pretty sure I have that in my craft room to try. I have a stack of things for a comparison type of post.
question-i did all the printing preference settings but every time i print i have to say yes continue bc paper type doesnt match-am i supposed to set that somewhere on the printer itself?
You would need to change that on the printer. I leave it with the old paper type as it is a reminder to me to make sure I have fixed all of the settings.
I have the Epson 2720 and have followed all these steps using cricut design space, im using 94% poly shirt and the design will not transfer to my shirt..do you have any ideas what i might be doing wrong?
Are you using sublimation ink? Did you add that to your printer?
How do you mirror your image on the epson mobile app for sublimation plz
I never use mobile for printing for sublimation so I am not sure.
If using design space do you mirror on there and on the printer setting as well ..my images come out mirror but when I sublimated to a mug the image is flipped the wrong way ..not sure what I’m doing wrong .
You only mirror once. I do it in my printer settings.
I have a epson 2720 printer, A sub sublimation paper, hippo print ink, teflon paper, and protective paper that is butcher paper, and Align ruler, I have watched your video on the cricut software, canva software, and photoshop software. I have tried the cricut software for sizing of the paper for printing. I will be printing on t shirt first before going on mugs caps etc. I want to know the correct image size for t shirt on my epson 2720 printer.
It totally depends on your design and what size of shirt you are using. Try holding a ruler up to your shirt to get an idea of how it will look before printing.
@@AngieHolden Thank you I appreciate.
I have researched sublimation printers and so confused ...if I go with epson eco tanks...then am I correct that I need somevtype of program to adjust colors...I have looked at sawgrass but their ink is so expensive and not sure how long it last. Any comments or help I would appreciate. I have the large easy press which I have used with sublimation prints I have purchased.
Try this video for the color correction: czcams.com/video/YqW5199ceOc/video.html
If I want to make a full wrap Tumblr would I just choose to cover the hole sheet of paper in the canva program?
I would either measure or look up the measurements for your blank and use those.
Can I use the ET 4800? Target isn't showing the 4700 anymore.
Any EcoTank that uses 4 colors of ink is fine.
Angie I ama registered user in your Sublimation Camp which is coming up May 12th. I have watched the video on the Epson ET 4700. I have gone to Amazon for the price and I see all they Have are refurbished printers. Is this what you bought or is the 4700 been replaced with a newer model. You said not to buy a used printer. Can you please help me with this and let me know your thoughts on this matter. Thanks
I think this particular model has been discontinued. However, any EcoTank that uses 4 colors works in the same way.
Hi Angie, Really not sure if you know this but I guess it won't hurt to ask you.I took your advice on buying an ecotank printer as my sublimation printer, I got the Epson ET 4800. 3 days after buying it my regular everyday printer "died". I never really liked that printer to begin with as it used cartridges and they would never last long at all. The ET 4800 was still on sale so I bought another to use as the everyday printer. So I guess my actual question is will it be ok to have BOTH of the printers connected to the same computer and just use the regular ink printer for everyday stuff and switch over to the sublimation ink printer when I do sublimation prints?
Of course! Just name them two different things so you don't get them confused.
@@AngieHolden Thanks! I thought so just wanted to make sure ! I love you videos and they always make me feel good. I feel like I am sitting down with a next door neighbor for a chat! Keep up the great work!!
Is this the printer you use for T-shirt designs, also? I’m wondering if the 8.5”x24” are the dimensions needed for printing T-shirt designs or if those prints are typically larger.
I do use this for shirts. Maximum is 8x5 x 14 print size. That works for almost every shirt I want to create.
Thank you!
How many programs print show have, what are the cost and which on do you recommend?

Cosmos has ICC profiles. I would use those.
I have a question I hope you can help me. I'm using the same set up with same size paper but when I print them it's cutting off some of my image can you please advise me how to do so. Thank you so much
Something is wrong with your feeder on the printer. Maybe try a different paper.
Hi Angie! I did convert my Epson ET-2803 and when I went to print something, it was in black. No color at all. I did not sublimate anything yet because of that. I followed your instructions. If you can please help! Thank you for all your videos!
More than likely you turned on a black printing only or monochromatic print setting on accident. Go to your print settings and look for a checkbox that says one of those.
@@AngieHolden I’m sorry but I didn’t see what you said. I called Microsoft to help me, they couldn’t get it to print color either and referred me to Epson. They had me do a print head cleaning 3 times. I’m at a lost!
Again I would look at your print settings for anything you may have hit to tell it to only print in black and white.
It took me all day into the night but I figured it out! It had to do with the driver…very confusing! Thank you for your help!! See ya in your next video!
Have you ever had problems with cricut actually connecting with the printer? The calibration print works fine. But as soon as I try to print a project, it won't print anything.
Thanks!
Not that I know of? You might go to your printer settings and troubleshoot from there.
ANGIE!!!
Could you do a side by side sublimation printer/epson ecotank comparison Video??
So something like a Sawgrass versus an EcoTank?
If you upload the png file and want to add a text line can you do that and print the text with the pic?
Sure. In Cricut Design Space, upload. Add text. Pick the picture and the text and click flatten. Other programs are different but same concept!
What are the solutions for any printing troubles you come across in the future? Like splotches or severely clogged ink heads. I would think Epson wouldn’t help resolve any issues because the ink isn’t the same.
Correct. You will have to work out issues on your own if you convert a printer. I will be doing future videos as I run into issues.
@@AngieHolden do you have any tips for banding?
Would this work with a Epson ET 4800? I don't see anything on those & just bought one last night.
Any Epson EcoTank that has 4 colors works the same way for conversion.
@@AngieHolden thank you so much, Angie your content is amazing, new sub!

The Epson F170 is a sublimation printer so you don't have to do a conversion at all. I think I would use the Epson ink and return the Hippoo ink.
@@AngieHolden
Thank you, guess I'll do the return. Guess I should have asked first....
Will the Epson 4760 work for this
Any EcoTank will work.
