Terrific interview! Love how you just let Richie tell his stories with minimal interruptions. I remember in the early eighties when I had got burnt out with KISS and Alice Cooper’s acts. Along come the Plasmatics on television and they make my hair stand up like Alice and Kiss used to. Richie made an impression on me every bit as much as Wendy did. I was still in high school and was into hard rock and metal, but didn’t really “get” punk rock. The Plasmatics were my “gateway band” into punk and other types of metal.
