Bill Ashurst was the most skilful back row forward I have ever seen. If he had played in the sixties or eighties would have been have been held in the same reverence and high regard as Ellery Hanley and Billy Boston!!!! For ability Bill should be in the Wigan hall of fame!!!!

Great - actually discussing rugby league itself and not the constant admin driblle that the BBC radio etc seem to discuss. It also bugs me that when you listen to RL on 5 live, that they never discuss or analyse the rugby at half time or at the end of the game. Instead they cut the mics, play some irrelavant item about RL admin, while they no doubt go and stuff their faces with cream cakes or the like:)
