The fact you pulled this off with no body saying anything about that hat really amazes me. I’m curious we’re you going for the mad hatter or gangs of New York Bill the butcher. Your definitely one of a kind brother. Fo sure!
I own several blades of theirs, not this one though. I got the conqueror Bowie in D2 and it’s phenomenal, right down to the profile of the clip point. They do have cheap stuff on united cutlery… but they also have higher end stuff. My spartan sword has taken dings, but I still like it. And if you spend the extra money on better steels, you get a really good quality product.
I have one of their swords (double edged ninja), great beater for the money; 1060 steel and only ~$130. has a similar handle-pommel setup as this knife and at some point I plan on removing that and putting wood scales on the tang. I've read on a forum that it actually improves the handling.
Donny, any opinions on the Honshu D2 tool steel model Tanto or toothpic? What do you think of D2 tool steel. I'm thinking of buying the D2 Tanto. What's your take on that. This novice here, respects (VERY MUCH) your opinion on these matters!

@@DonnieBAllDay let me know if you do! I'd love an idea of what I'm getting myself into lol. I kind of have a set rule with knives. If its got a rubber/plastic handle, needs a kydex sheath. If it comes with a rubber/plastic handle but a decent leather sheath, it needs wood handle scales lol. And this knife definitely falls into category two lol

The reason for the faults on this knife isn't due to getting a lemon, it's due to them using inferior materials. Sure they could do a redesign, but the cost to do so would be more than the series is worth. The steel will work fine, but the materials around it simply wont. The Hibben works well for you because not only is the 420 steel used, an HC, but the surrounding materials they use are of higher quality.

I don’t think anyone else in the world could pull that hat off. Especially with a big knife in his hand 😉 Respect brother

I'm up and down with it, but I can't deny performance

It's looks really badass blade.
it looks better than it is
What about the Boshin Khukri?
They all have workable steel with the same cheap plastic handle
Do you think it's possible to remove and replace the handle? The only thing I dislike about this knife
Absolutely
