Best Zetian Wu Review so far . Great stuff .
Wu is tuned well I own it and I'm not interested in other planar IEM unless new champion gonna be born 😆. Fun fact is that Wu bass is so good that it can compete with my 1k$ headphones
The cheap brands are getting so good really no need to spend thousands anymore
Wu sub-bass is nearly same as Ikko OH10 while the others are more refined. That's why I highly recommend it.

Great review! Thank you for the comparison, it’s good to have another flavor to choose. I have the S12, which needs some EQ’ing in the treble. I will probably get the Zetian Wu for a different flavor.

Honestly, at that price I'd probably buy the IEM just for the box art if I saw it at a shop.
on the planar front, I have the S12 and the Dioko (which I'm not really that fond of). I'm kind of waiting for the Moondrop Planar to see how that one stacks up. I am definitely keeping the WU on my radar. Thanks as always for the excellent, thoughtful review
moondrop stellaris is Already out I know gragh dose not say it all but it looks like a sibliance mess (overdone treble energy)similar to s12 tunning but even worse

Your reviews are really helpful. The Wu is very compelling, it seems to have the traits I'm looking for: good instrument separation, large soundstage, treble that isn't aggressive, and versatile with music genres. Maybe tweak the bass EQ ever so slightly and it's near perfect for the price.
I've never heard a planar so I'm curious to try one out. Will the Ear Studio ES100 have enough power with the single ended connection?

The description of the Zetian Wu's FR sounds perfect for me. That slight sub-bass bleed, soft/rounded vocals, no booming mid-bass, etc.

S12 with shortbus mod and loving it, more than my B2Dusk. But this one looks interesting as well. The planar timbre how noticeable is it? Some say it is the planar with the hardest "planar timbre".
What is the shortlist mod? Also which is better in terms of sound s12 or s12 pro? I am looking for a new iem.
Nice Review..as expected....I love my S12 especially after cable change with more core penon pca480 and fed with power using mt604 amp fed by L2B dongle...full potential unleashed with Magic presentation using Neutron player switch on PCM to DSD conversion....L2B always on green true magic. It seems my natural upgrade would be Hooks next iteration rumoured.
nice new IEMs, what about compared with the 7Hz Timeless? I still go back to the Timeless for many things and I can't find anything beating them yet....

Received my Wu a week ago and she has become my favourite sounding IEMs. In terms of build quality and overall presentation, I still choose my S12s as my champions.

Would you get the WU over the Ikko OH10? Based on the graph they dont look far apart but Wu is a planar and OH10 is BA. Which would you prefer?
In reality, they both sound very different. OH10 is more V-shaped and dynamic with deeper bass. WU is more balanced and has slightly better resolution.
I was wondering this as well. Love my OH10 but looking for something to compliment it and to have something to switch between and enjoy a bit of contrast.
mine just arrived and came with a black stock eartip already attached. the balanced/bass/foam ones in the accessories had rigid stems that were too small to put on the IEM, so I couldn't try any of them.
did u base the review on the stock eartips or the balanced eartips?
also, is that zetian wu coaster/plate at 2:50 included in the accessories? mind didn't have that.
I normally use my own eartips because the stock ones are too small 90% of the time. The coaster was bonus promotional material. I have a glass of wine sitting on it right now!

Zetian wu, kato or s12??
I just hear hip hop, so i like good basses and im kinda sensitive for treble, so im a little bit afraid of the treble in s12. some people say it has a hissing sound that bothers a lot
S12 only has hiss when you have a bad source (eg. plugged straight into a laptop/pc) or poor quality recording.
But if you're sensitive to treble and want bass I recommend the Seekreal Airship or Raptgo Hook X.
You are the ONLY person who thinks this a neutral and composed iem. Are you one of those people with the different ear canals from most?
I have Fiio FH3. Does it make sense to purchase Tangzu Zetian Wu? I've never found any comparision between them. Thanks
Yes it does. The Zetian Wu is more relaxed across the board. It doesn't have the same treble energy as the FH3 but it has superior resolution and instrument separation because of its planar driver. They compliment each other well and I think you would enjoy having both to choose from for specific music or activities.

@@PrimeAudioReviews Is the shell of Zetian Wu bigger than Fh3? How is the comfort? Fh3 fits me well with the smallest tips, but I have issues fitting the thruthear hexa due to the thick nozzle.
Should I buy these or Kato?
Both are kinda similar but KATO is more upfront and vibrant. Zetian Wu needs a pretty powerful source to perform optimally.
