The thing about the jealous move: if I like a girl or a friend and she is flirting with another guy, it's finished for me. I end it then and there. So I find it dangerous to try to make someone jealous to see if they like you.

Anna ....in recent years through rejection and divorce I have honestly come to a single final conclusion.
I totally and utterly get why folk become hermits.
It is now become very, very appealing. A cabin by a beautiful lake with wooded area nearby and zero, if any contact with human beings and all of their crappy problems they wish to push my way....well, being a hermit is becoming more appealing by the hour, let alone the day, week or years.
Narcissism killed my interest..try living through and surviving a discard...and I don't feel suicidal by the way...there are thousands of things in life I love.

If the gal says that she's your friend, but doesn't ask you about the relative that's in the hospital, even though you had told them, then that gal, isn't really your friend either, just an acquaintance. A real friend would ask you about how your relative is doing with genuine concern.
I recently told my crush how I feel about her, but unfortunately she said she didn't feel the same way about me. I told her that its cool and I respected her decision. Thank you for taking the time to comment openly like this. First of all, well done on going through with it - you'd have regretted it had you never tried. Sometimes we find someone we think we like and would be perfect with but they don't like us back. It can feel awful when this happens but it's just a part of life, you can't make someone like you back. It's not that you're not a great person, and it's not something to take personally, you may just not be quite what they're looking for. In time you will move on and actually end up finding someone way more perfect for you, you may not have even met them yet!

There's NO SUCH THING as a "Friendzone", Lots of women told me they think of me only as a friend, then I don't hear from them afterwards. Sure, I would see them around, but when I tried to say "Hi", they wouldn't respond at all.
They friendzone guys that they think they can get use from. They probably see you as uncontrollable subconsciously, therefore unable to control.

Well for some individuals story, it could be they aren't ready for relationship or still trying to learn something in this life about relationships. I experience so far that I had crush once and they still be friends with me even though they found someone else. Likes me or like-likes me....that is the question. She used to work at the bakery I go to a lot, and we chatted and connected so many times. Heck, about a year ago, while I was working on my laptop, I saw her lift her head up in thought, before turning to me and saying, "How was your summer?" It was kind of random, but I appreciated her interest. On her last day (Jan 2023), she said my coffee was on her. One day, I ran into her at the bar. We chatted, and I said something about her bravely coming out of her shell better than me because of her singing karaoke during her first time here. Not long after, when she and her friends were singing again, she gestured me toward them and pointed to the lyrics on the screen. What's funny is I had told her I didn't like being in the spotlight during the said "out of shell" conversation. Not to criticize her encouragement. Just saying it's interesting and I'm wondering about her motive, perspective, and if it could've meant something.
But perhaps not. I'm starting to wonder if she has a boyfriend. I saw her a few nights ago at a different bar. I pretended I didn't see her in the dancing crowd, she noticed me (I think after I accidentally bumped into her), put her hand on my arm to get my attention, and said hi. It was a very brief talk, given the dancing and loudness. So of course, I did not ask for her number or to be my date at the swing dance next month. But it's not just that. She was with a group of friends, and one of them was a guy she talked with. He _could_ have been her boyfriend. What would be the signs (aside from kissing, obviously). I'm curious about the connection (or contradiction) between the potential "she-likes-me" signs and the idea of her having a boyfriend. He's the main reason I didn't ask her anything. Should I, whether it be phone number or swing dance invite?

My crush and I are always talking for hours. Sometimes he initiate the conversation. Sometimes I am the one who initiate the conversation and it's balance. For Example, this day I initiate the conversation and tomorrow he wakes up, he initiate the conversation.
We've been talking for about 5 - 8hours a day and I remember he brought back the information, I told him about a couple of months ago.
He even called me "B". I don't know what that stands for..
And he keeps asking questions and he is worried.
One thing that get me confuse is, does he likes me or not is because sometimes when he told me he texted me at this hour and then I've waited but he never texted me but on the next day and he asks for apologizes why he didn't text me yesterday.
