Sseing these cabinets get cleaned up is always satisfying to watch
I agree, when I get them they're typically pretty dirty so it feels good to see a nice clean cabinet afterward.
Anytime my guy! Always fun hanging out!
We’ll have to do it again soon! Like Saturday 😂
@@KillerArcadeGames ha!! Count me in!
The rush racing games were really fun to play... they were pretty good on the n 64 home console...had a lot of fun cheat codes to play with...
I love this cab. I also had it on N64 as a kid and payed TONS of it. I remember buying a wheel to try and replicate the arcade at home but it never was the same lol.
New T molding and some fresh paint on all the metals including screws would look Fabulous ,I'm just saying, lol. Thanks for sharing.
I think the T Molding will need to be replaced eventually. I'll probably wait until its in an air-conditioned space and not going to be moved around much more to do more fixes.
Hey tape is good enough for astronauts & NASA it's good enough for the arcade haha. Great clean up man. I had to stare at that mouse for far too long til I could actually notice the body
Hahah tape saves the day! You can kind of make out the little bones in the picture. I felt them and knew what it was immediately. Yuck
Holy shit!😳 Didn't expect that it could be a dead mouse itself in one of those cabinest lol I mean, i thought that they are put together well and that nothing can get inside except the owner. But oh man, the dead mouse is really bad stuff that you don't wanna see in one of those things 😆Anyway, cool video. By the way, that monitor from this arcade cabinet, reminds me of old TV screen. I still have those TVs at home. My brother can fix TVs and stuff, so he took some of the TVs from people that brought them here, so he can fix them. But since those TVs are old, he can't fix them because he can't find some TV parts to replace the old ones. And yes, i have a one working old TV like that. I'm watching it from time to time, including our family members. Also, that TV is LG Flatron. And also we had one old soviet TV that is no longer working, and it's name is Berezka, which from russian translates as birch. I remember that it was working using lamps but later my brother modfied it, and made it work without those lamps. I even played some old retro games back in my childhood on that TV when i was a kid. But since now it's not working and never will, becaus the tube on the back of the monitor was broken and it can not be fixed, me and my brother put that TV inside of our little barn and it stays there for, about, maybe few years or so.
This cab was mice heaven! I threw out a grocery bag of insulation and trash. Having the knowledge to fix up those old TVs is great for working on arcades. If you ever buy one out there you’ll have help! It’s funny how we all rushed to ditch those old TVs and now they could have some use.
@@KillerArcadeGames Yeah, everyone was trying to get rid of those old TV, but if you think about it, and if you are trying to repair or put rogether something, that uses details from those old TVs, then they could help you out.
If the light in the marquee is taking forever to come on, try replacing the starter. It's a simple fix and takes 2 seconds.
I do need to look into that. It took 30 seconds to come on the other day lol.
@Killer Arcade Games you can get them at home depot or lowes. Should be behind the bulb. Little circle thing. Most likely an fs2 starter.
I just found one by me for 400 bucks so tempting!!
Go for it! That’s what I paid. Mine didn’t have a working monitor but I still found it to be a good deal.
Saw a guy on Facebook marketplace selling one for $250 or best offer. Then I searched CZcams for the arcade (I know nothing about this machine) and came across your video.
I saw that one too! He was too far away to even consider it lol. I’m glad you found the channel.
Enjoyed seeing inside the cabinet and getting a behind the scenes glimpse of what goes into restoring original cabinets. Interesting and informative! Here's hoping you can make the shed-cade a reality!
I thought about doing a “What’s inside” series but I only have 3 real cabinets so it would be limited for now haha. I was always (and still am) curious about what’s inside these machines. Most are pretty empty but the racing cabs have a good amount of stuff inside.
I’m working on that Shed-Cade!
That is rhe biggest crt i have seen yet
Its good sized, 27 inches. Its also heavy as hell lol.
Cool video! Ive seen console repairs my entire life but anything arcade is before my time. Looking forward to watching your other videos!
Thanks! These things need work occasionally so I'm sure you'll see more lol. I did a Hydro Thunder repair recently: czcams.com/video/9MA6F-H-hvg/video.html
Love seeing these cleaning and fixing videos!
I’m glad to hear it! I don’t think a large amount of my audience does but they’re fun to make and I like videos like this personally.
@@KillerArcadeGames I have a few cabs I'm doing light work on now, and getting some more soon, so I love seeing people fix and clean up theirs. It's really motivating. Love your content man.
What do you recommend for lubrication for the steering shaft?
I’ve never had to do that so I’m not sure.
Awesome video! Love the cabs. Mouse issues such. I had a few in my finished basement barcade. One got into the ac vents, died and stunk pretty bad. Ita resolved now but was a pain in the ass
Rodents are no fun. I rented a house that had a major problem. Then was hired by the management company to go back there and take care of the problem years later. The house was nearly unrecognizable. The thick wooden cabinets had been shredded so rats could easily come in through the attic. There was so much rat poo it was just plain dangerous to breathe the air in there. The carpet was black and had disintegrated by the doors, I assume they had pets that ruined it. There were dead rats rotting everywhere and evidence the other rats had eaten them lol. I went in with mud boots on, soaked in chemical, respirator, goggles and gloves and still felt nasty hahah
@@KillerArcadeGames ha man that's insane. I feel dirty just reading that lol
🙂😊🤗 i want to see this shead of yours ;) any progress on that u have any video ?
It doesn't exist...yet! I'm in the planning/working out a price phase right now. I need to be sure its not a problem with my HOA and go from there! I'll definitely do update videos on it though. I'll probably end up doing most of the finish work myself with help. We need drywall, insulation, air conditioning, electricity and more. I'm not terribly handy as far as that goes but I have friends and family in the trade who can all help me get it going.
Chris, if I may make a suggestion, don't bother cleaning the floor. Just give it a wipe down and spray it with a fresh coat of satin black spray paint. Good as new and easier to clean afterwards. I really enjoy these sort of videos. Keep telling myself I'm going to do one of these and never do lol. Thanks for sharing bud!
I like watching this type of video, I’m not sure most of my audience does but I’ll keep them coming occasionally. I love the idea of spray paint, I did that on Hydro Thunder’s floor after realizing we’d never get it clean lol! You should start doing this type of video, these are always interesting to me. Seeing what’s in the games and getting ideas for fixes or just gaining general knowledge is nice.
Hope it's not too hard to play it this time of year.
It’s not, Texas winters are typically weak compared to up north. But when it’s in the 50s in the garage, it’s not all that comfortable haha. I do have a space heater. The next step is the Shed-Cade! I’m already talking to some builders and trying to make it happen. Then I’ll have an insulated/air conditioned space for them to be in.
Suprised you didn’t wash the monitor . I did it to all my used wells Gardner
I’m way too big of a wuss to wash a monitor 😂
@@KillerArcadeGames if i can do it , you can do it , dry time is important, but a box fan helps
@@adidas1984x the idea of it seems so wrong and terrifying 😂
@@KillerArcadeGames I was scared on my first . But now it’s no sweat . Just has to be dried for days. I’m getting a new cab this weekend and will do the same
Dam mice really are a problem
Yeah, it’s no big deal though. They’re out and I’ve got a pest control business so my house is largely pest free lol
armour all wet wipes, will clean that entire machine. don't ask me how i know.
Hahah I have some in my truck, I'll try it out. I assume the Armor All portion will help keep the plastic in good condition too.
@@KillerArcadeGames yup!
