  • Marsascala (or Marsaskala) is a quiet Maltese village but in the same time is the most rapidly growing Maltese locality.
    Originally it was a Sicilian fishing community. Even the name means 'Sicilian Harbour' .

    Love this! My wife's family is from Malta. We visited in 2007, My best friend lives there. Changed so much in 13 years. Love Marsa and love this channel :)

    Stayed in the Jerma Palace Hotel many times and it is a shame to see it as it is today.

    Why don't they knock this building down and start again and do a better hotel. It will be more modern but in keeping with the surroundings. Why do they leave it empty for so long

      That's the plan. There will be a higher building. I think it was ownership issues what prevented an earlier knock down.
