In certain situations there are chances of fire roll over and fire reaches near the vehicle at a first pace, without getting time to reverse the vehicle, in such situations in order to safeguard the crew in the vehicle additional nozzles must be attached on the downside of the vehicle. I am a fire & Safety professional but not having experience in Panther.

What engine does it use, and is it using two engines...
Hi Titan,
the new PANTHER is available with two different drive variants: basic with Volvo Euro 5 engine and 6-speed gearbox or performance package with Volvo Euro 6 engine and 8-speed gearbox.
The PANTHER 8x8 uses two engines, the PANTHER 4x4, 6x6 and 6x6 S use only one.

Hi Titan,
in the PANTHER 8x8, both engines drive the vehicle in normal driving mode. The power of the engines is bundled via a so-called collective transfer case.
For pump operation, one of the motors is switched from traction drive to pump operation. This motor provides the required power for extinguishing. The second motor is then solely responsible for driving the vehicle.
