Wildest Expos game I ever saw. Lots of home runs, countless lead changes, a triple play and a walkoff single by Mike Mordecai. Wish I would've taped it, but I'm glad you posted most of it. Amazingly, there were still 11 more runs scored after what you see here. Final score was 16-15 Expos.
This was a period when I attended many Expos games. It is such a shame that MLB purposely drove the team into the ground. They had a wonderful squad from 2000-3.

Oh! Henry playing for the Cubs... Wow. And Rondell still with Montreal at the time. Vlad, Vidro and Stevens was a great punch for the Expos lineup. I miss my team so bad, maaaaaaaaaaaaaan
I remember being at my grandmother's house that day for mother's day. The Cubs game was on, and I remember seeing the Cubs had scored one run in the first, two in the second, and three in the third. I turned to my uncle and we both wondered if the Cubs could score four in the fourth. I turned away from the game shortly after, and didn't see the ending. Even though I'm a Cubs fan, I still have respect for how epic this game was. I hope someday I get to see the ending.
I was at this game with my buds. I was 11 at the time and remember mordecai hitting the game winning single in the 9th. Was epic! This game was actually ranked as the most exciting game of all time by some metrics
I think that triple play at the beginning would’ve been a double play had Gutierrez ran on the ball. Stevens would’ve stepped on first and thrown him out at the plate.
Was it 2003 or 2004 the last official year for the expos in MLB? (Before Guerrero got traded to the Angels) and then they became Washington nationals in either 05 or 06? Did the entire roster with all the players and coaches transfer to the national franchise? (Almost everyone is retired now that is playing in this game as its been 23 years since this game)
Steve Stone missed a lot of games that season because of illness. I remember Bob Dernier and Randy Hundley sitting as well. Think Dernier did the final series of the year in Pittsburgh.

The Nationals have done just enough to say they've had more success. But that one WS doesn't justify the relocation.

Guerrero wasn't traded .Angels signed him as a free agent in 2004

Cubs were just horrible in 2000. Especially the pen which at one point had more walks than the starters
