When he dies, he's lying in the coffin the wrong way round. The wider part of the coffin (where his legs are) is made that way to accommodate a person's chest and shoulders which are usually the widest part of a corpse. I don't know how they didn't spot that mistake during development. It would have been so easy to just print the coffin the other way around. Another way around it would be to alter the LCD frame of him in the coffin so that his pose is flipped. Although this would be a little bit more difficult and time consuming than just reprinting the background.
4:27 actually back in the early planning stages of the first movie, the nutrona wand WAS more akin to a cop's nightstick and would be jabbed at the ghosts where the proton streams would have come from like a sidearm or a gun
Maybe the two buttons are for left- and righthanded people. By the way, I just picked up the first season of The Real Ghostbusters on DVD, thanks to your reccomendation!
Can't say I ever saw this here in the US, but I did have the flat hand-held one as a kid. I remember playing it a lot, but always wishing there was a better home console game available.
I'm just guessing here, but I think the two action buttons are for left handed vs. right handed players. Either that, or there was a second action function planned that was cut at some point in development, but they'd already laid out the hardware.
This was certainly available in the UK because I remember receiving this one Xmas as a kid. The game was kind of naff, but I loved the novelty of having my own 'arcade cabinet', plus it looked really cool and I really wish I still had mine, even just for display.
+LastResortHumor Sorry, I'm not Phelous at all but, imho, I think Extreme Ghostbusters was as good of a sequel as we were EVER gonna get as far as the movies are concerned. Maybe it didn't strike everyone's fancy, but it was fresh while keeping true to the original source material - BUILDING off of it unlike the upcoming "BridesBusters" (or "GhostMaids", if you will. And fyi, I'm NOT a sexist...I just don't hold Paul Feig in very high regard). While some people might say that Janine was already on the team, I don't necessarily consider her an active member - sure, she's suited up once in a blue moon in her pink duds, but Kylie Griffin (played by Tara Strong) was the official first lady of the XGB who was active from the get-go, and had her own character that was intelligent, smarmy, and willing to explore the supernatural side of things as opposed to the "logical" side of the GB business without taking any crap. Still, flaws & all, this wasn't too bad a series considering it came from the same people who made the animated series for Godzilla '98 & MiB. Again, just imho.
Another great video, Phelan. It's been ages since your previous Magical Merchandise Zones. Were you finally able to get those Ghostbusters bootleg figures you mentioned?
It would be cool if you started covering popstations(those led games that are played on modern looking consoles) I think they'd fit right in for Bootleg Zones VG
+souperman72 point taken what about unlicensed games based on existing properties like that 16 bit lord of the rings figher I'd love to know the history on that game, if you want to know what I am talking about game sack's unlicensed games episode mentions it, honestly I'm just desperate for more bzvg
+ilikethecokev2 Although Lorenzo Music was the better Venkman, I respect your opinion. There is nothing wrong with having an unpopular opinion on Dave Coulier's Venkman. In fact, there are many fans of RGB who have their own unpopular opinions on certain aspects of the show. I recall someone saying that he liked both versions of Janine. Hell, I'm sure there are even some who love the "Slimer!" cartoons.
Now that I've taken a year to reflect on this, I now know why I wrote what I did. I will admit Lorenzo's is far better, there's no denying that, but Coulier plays Peter in both my favorite episodes from both Ghostbusters cartoons (Halloween Door & Back in the Saddle). That's why I just can't hate him.
What's the point of this review? Don't get me wrong. You did good, but i think a review is supposed to tell me if it's a good game and if I should get the game myself. I don't see myself ever even seeing this game anywhere much less buying it. So, I just watched this for no reason other than the jokes, I guess.

I guess Peter is too much of a rule-breaker to conform to standard coffin positions
6:29 CONGLATURATION! YOU WON THE LOTERAY! NOW GO AND REST OUR COULIER VENKMAN!
The jet at 2:37 appears to be the combined form of the Alpha and Beta fighters from Robotech (Legioss and Tread from Mospeada).

The Miraculous Merchandise Zones are such rare treats.

I don't remember this particular game in any store here in Italy but I was 4 so... Yeah...
Looks neat, though!
"The cover system is probably the neatest part of the gameplay."
Oh how times have changed!

more real ghostbusters merchandise videos please.
Will you ever do a video on the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon? I'd be interested to hear your opinion on it.

@@souperman72 well one person has constantly suggested he review stuff Ashen has done which isn’t very helpful 😅
This is cool :o
then two action buttons is for hand preference.
you have the same weird ass frightened look that Maxamillian Dood and my uncle have.
I think the 2 action buttons is so you can play right or left handed.
It's kinda sad that the real ghostbusters LCD game is more faithful than the gameboy game.
Wait gameboy?! They had a gameboy game?
Geez, I must be the only person who likes Coulier's version of Venkman.

*sigh* Why do I keep hoping in vain that stating an opinion on the internet will not have such ridiculous levels of backlashes?
