@@tjmoore428 Eric July left the band in 2015, AJ and Chris stepped in for him, but only AJ stayed. The only things they ever did with Eric was Sleeping with Anchors & Mirrors & the Sweet Lasting Revenge EP
This is from the album Narrative which was released in mid 2016 with AJ fronting the band. Their first official release with him. This is absolutely AJ Channer.
Eric does not look or sound anything lik AJ & I don't know why or even how so many people continue to confuse them.

I met these guys in Austin when they opened for DevilDriver. Super cool guys. He and I both know some of the same people in the Texas Metal scene. He’s been to one of my shows and I saw them too. I wish I could have been on the same bill as them at some point. Really down to earth guys.

LFR FAMILY well I am a music fan and musician. Metal is my favorite genre, but I dabble in a lot of music. I love classical. I was in two different metal bands over the span of a decade. Music was my job. We were signed and got paid to go play the next gig. It was fun but it was a struggle at the same time. I’ve been playing guitar 21 years, and I took 6 years of private music theory lessons from a master named Reese Lyles. Drugs took us down. We were on the bill for a Slipknot show when we broke up. My former rhythm guitarist died last year from meth. No one prepares you for how fast shit happens when you’re “in the scene”.

This song is quite a bit different than the other songs that I've listened to by Fire From the Gods. That's because this song was written by their original singer (Eric July). He left the band early on and created another band called Backwordz. If you want to talk about bars that have some real meaning, you should check out Backwordz. I'd suggest "Self Ownership", "Statism", or "Be Great" to start with. All three are gems.

AJ Channing is amazing! My son an I were front row at a concert and they were the opening act, after they played he came down the front high fiving everyone and he stopped at my 16 year old son and took a picture with him, and thanked him for being a fan! So nice and amazing live show!
Love this band. Very positive attitudes from the members. Their whole cd is great. if you want to try and react to "truth to the weak" or "trust" "American sun and most definately their best song in my opinion "right now"

Three singers passed through the band (monuments) and there are three albums of which the last two voices were recorded by chris barretto. in my opinion the second album has the essence of the band, mixing progressive metal with funk. the third album too but I keep more with the second one.

Man im glad to find your channel and your legit reactions. Helps me branch out to more artists as well, so i appreciate it. These guys are in their own lane and i blast them on the way to work. If i had to recommend another group that's on fire and in their own lane, try Dance Gavin Gance my man, maybe their song We Own The Night, or Inspire The Liars. Theyre versatile and tell stories flawlessly IMO. Thanks again man!
