Paddle Steamer “Dixie Queen” is London’s largest paddle boat and party, conference and entertainment cruiser.
She has a capacity of 620 guests.
She was previously owned and operated by various Swedish companies since at least 1968, first as a ferry on Sweden’s east and west coasts, then renovated in -86 to become a restaurant ship, and later became a Night Club Cruiser in Stockholm Sweden until year 1999,
then sold to Thames Luxury Charters, London UK for 7.6 Million SEK.
She was renovated for 10 Million $ at some stage
and is a “mock” replica of a Mississippi paddle steamer.
Tower Bridge lifts around 800 times per year these days, as opposed to the daily record of 64 lifts in one day during its heydays!
