- Liverpool fans have been divided over the last few days regarding the standing former striker Fernando Torres should be held in.
Torres joined a number of former Liverpool stars to feature in a clash against their Ajax counterparts to raise money for the LFC Foundation.
However, clearly still scorned from his controversial exit to rivals Chelsea, some fans insisted Torres should not have been greeted with such a warm welcome from the Anfield faithful.

If Suarez is a legend for us, then so is Torres. For me, both are.
I lived through the 70s and 80s so I have seen quite a few Liverpool legends.
Torres was a classy player, who probably enjoyed the best years of his career with us.
I enjoyed watching him play but in all honesty I can not rate him as a legend

I honestly don't know .... some of his comments really cut the fans deep . Lived him as a player and I understand why he left but the way he did it left a bad taste in our mouths . I've never bought another Liverpool Jersey since I got his . I tore that one up when he left , I was gutted
Not a legend for me. He was a good player for us, but he was also blessed having very good players around him. Rafa also built the squad around torres
