@@derplololol9717 it doesnt really matter about the eps. I'm just saying both have very good taijutsu scenes. It's very arguable that the shippuden ones were better. Hands down no taijutsu from part 1 can top the beginning of the last naruto vs sasuke fight. Literally poetry in motion the way the made sasuke not allow naruto to use shadow clones. And so many people miss it.

When the Sand 3 arrived was such a hype moment. I squealed when I watched it like 13 years ago, the background music was perfect.

same and I haven't started watching naruto until 2018 but I know alot about the series as a hole and boruto and I'm only just now at episode 126 or part 1 I got alot of catching up to do on my anime
I miss 2005-2017
I'm gonna forever be salty about how wasted Lee's character was in Shippuden. Literally proved that everything Lee was working for, trying to "beat the talented through hard work" isn't actually possible cause all of Shippuden is literally based around who was born with a better handicap or has the better eyes.
Everything that Lee does is what i loved about Naruto.
True. Lee was my favourite in the Classic Naruto and he surely was one of the favourites of many people. Its a shame they didnt went deeper into his character in shippuden. He basically wasnt existent anymore. Same goes for Neji and somehow Gaara and Shikamaru who all were great Characters in the Classic Naruto. Naruto and Sasuke evolved into Gods whereas other great characters just were ignored.

I will never understand how normal ninjas(Every ninja that has not special defenses powers) can handle punches and kicks from Rock Lee and gai sensei, they have a lot of strength in their muscles and the normal ninjas do not have really good defenses or something like HxH that u can protect with ur aura or haki, except from Gaara with his sand armor and kimimaro with his gekkegenkai, others idk, but ah a lariat from killer bee works on Sasuke and kisame, it should be the same with ma boes, wait know i remember the principal pain handled to wake up after get beat into rocks against kyubi, but was undead puppet. Yea, even if you take away the 9 Tails and 6 Path Chakra, Naruto is a descendent of Two very powerfull clans, so from the get go, he was meant for gretness and wasnt an underdog on the slightest.
Damn...I wish we see Lee in Shippuden like this one. I miss some great moments of Rock Lee.

Gaara's turn to being an ally of the leave after being such a terror in the chunin exams is easily one of my favorite moments in the show
For those wondering why kimimaru let him drink his medicine is because kimimaru has a history of illness as well. And he too needs to take his medication. He resonated with him in that fight and allowed him to take it.

a 100% kimimaro vs lee battle should be the most epic that can be seen in the anime world, in this fight they were both sick or limited, the best thing is that they both use taijutsu
I would say kimimaro was way more sick than lee
@@ssj-rose4572 Yes, obviously he was more ill, but at least he was able to fully use his Juinjutsu, Lee was not ill, but the Hachimon could not, due to the risk of using that it could cause him at that time
Depending on who is better at 100%, either Lee would be decapited attacking the bone defense or Kimimaro's bones would be obliterated by Lee's superior taijutsu offense with the gates open.
Kimimaro was not using only taijutsu, he was using his special kekke genkai bro.
It now make sense to me that every move Lee had shown here is in reference to Jackie Chan's drunken master 2 movie. Almost identical moves. You can't unsee it if you ever see that movie

Back in the golden age of Naruto. This was a great episode and I remember the hype well.

Knowing a bit more about Kimimaru makes his halting for the medicine a bit more believable- being ill himself, he’s doubtless gotta take medicines and whatnot so he’d be a bit nicer about that than most enemies 🤣
No matter how many times I watch it, this arc still feels so fresh and dope.

Thinking about it, Kiminaro making Lee take his medicine makes sense, Kimimaro also went through medical treatment so he understands the importance of medicine.

That epic moment when the sand shows up was incredible,also when Gaara saved Lee,back then he was an enemy to him,to Gaara,but now he is his friend or ally.

Man it's so epic at the end there. Also fun thing I realize is Kiba was smiling when they were about to die cause he likely smelt puppet dude coming but just wasn't sure if they were on the same side or not but best case scenario, his nose told him reinforcement was on the way.
I think Kimimaro let Lee take his "medicine" because he himself is ill so he understands the importance of this. Also, Lee is really proper and respectful when he speaks...well only when he is sober lol
If you like this fighting style I recommend Jackie Chan's Drunken Master movie.
5:21 it’s actually deep when you think about it, Kimimarou was terminally Ill at this point so he understands someone who is also sick and needs meds
Nothing is quite as hype as a terrifying and deadly past villain suddenly showing up later and having flipped from villain to hero by stepping in to save the good guys seemingly from out of nowhere. Seeing *Gaara* be the one to save Lee, particularly after the injuries he'd caused to Lee (and Gaara's subtle but obvious remorse over it) is such an amazing moment. Out of everyone who could have shown up to save Lee, *Gaara* was probably the one person that we all least expected to pull that "Big Damn Heroes" moment.

Back then i was furious 1 of the main characters was having his ass handed to him😂....later in shippuden i grew to hate Sasuke am glad Lee did kick his ass

Man when I saw this episode I was so hype. Old school Naruto and Bleach were like the best.
Lee at his best and not just escaped directly after his surgery and using all of his inner gates, that he could open at this point, vs. Kimimaru would be very interesting. I don't think he could defeat him. But Kimimaru would have to give it his best to not lose at that point.
I remember seeing this when it first aired and literally jumped out of my seat. Sadly there weren't that many more moments like that left in the series. Especially when it got towards the Shippuden era.

It’s interesting to note that being in such a state is almost like being asleep, yet you’re not. Since the alcohol content can remove some restrictions of the muscle-brain limiter, it’s no wonder Lee could overwhelm Kimimaro before using the cursed seal. If Lee’s muscle-brain limiter was stopped due to sleeping, imagine if he was fighting while sleeping… o_o

Lee vs Kimimaro is the most hilarious and yet one of the best fights in OG Naruto and it's one of the many scenes in the show that made me love Lee as a character

For those that don't know, Drunk Fist is an actual martial art style and is honestly best scene to it's fullest extent in the Jackie Chan movie series "Drunken Master" or in Mortal Kombat with the character Bo'Rai Cho.

Hong Kong Kung Fu movies were like so fucking hype in western culture since like what, the 70 or 80’s? Jackie Chan’s drunken fist movies were legendary…
To this day the moment Lee did the hand stand and started kicking Kimimaro back is still for me one of the coolest moments of the anime.

Ah yes. When we would get 6 months of filler. Meanwhile people watching for the first time on crunchyroll and other sites complain about the frequent flashbacks because they don't realize sometimes there was months between canon arcs, not just a couple of hours.

Honor. I've done it before, and thankfully have had it done for me.
Even if you're clearly winning, if they throw out their hand and say please stop/wait/etc with an urgency (which Lee had,) you give them that moment.
It could actually be something important, like Lee needing his medicine, out even then trying to tell you something. But unless they've given you a legitimate reason for PERSONAL vengeance, you don't just keep attacking when someone asks you to stop.
If this fight fails to be in any list of "Greatest hand to hand combats in Anime history"...then the list is definitely missing the best.
