Ta my dear comrade & fellow acolyte ^__^ All these years, I'd overlooked the L3/MAX dynamic, and how the Newalone stream caters to strategic shifts. Lately, I regard MB's famous "Project GF2" as less of a misnomer... Senba & Co's authorship is all over both's tricky shot/bomb dynamics and subtly volatile enemies. Perhaps it really is Senba-san's world, we just live in it! GF1 -> Garegga -> DDP, and GF2 -> G-Darius --> Border Down, with G-REV working on Ikaruga... and of course, frickin Dino Rex pre-empting GF3! Maybe it'll end in an incredibly dodgy crowdfunding ritual to summon GF3, which'll inspire the mythic STG What Makes Shooters Not Niche.👹Might bring about the end of our world, but I'm sure it'd play marvelously. 😎

I like how you just sat and vibed to the music in the first stage. Man, GUN FRONTIER 2 is such a gem.
Well-spotted. ^__^ You can really see Senba's background in anime and film, the way each stage kicks off with a few seconds for the BGM to ring out.
