- Today the 69 Cal Look bug came back from paint, again, with the issues it had fixed to our satisfaction. We also installed more windows in the '59 23 window bus and made some brake and wiring progress on the '68 Double Cab. The '71 Ghia got its new carb and runs GREAT!

Great news that the KG carb worked! It's nice to find something that just bolts on and works!
The cal-look is looking really lovely in its new paint - I will enjoy watching you build this up! Similarly, the fuel injection fitment on the crew-cab will be fascinating to follow.

Glad the new carb worked out on the Ghia. Don’t keep the old one, you might forget how bad it is and accidentally put it in another car. I did once, ugh. Thanks, RickGTI….. 🌴

Glad to hear the carb solved the Ghia running issues 👍🏻 Are there supposed to be hub caps on the Ghia? Omg the paint work on the red beetle is SO much better. Good call on the extra wire, do it while things are exposed 👍🏻bye 🤟🏻
The owner of the bus isn't in a big hurry. It will be way less than a year (after coming to our shop), which is really fast for a VW shop.
The Ghia is going to be getting beauty rings and hubcaps, should look great! Overall I'm pretty happy with the paint on the red one now. It's wasn't a real expensive paint job, so for the price I'm okay with it.

Thanks! Yes, electrical tape every 6" or so.
If things weren’t complicated enough VW then went and moved the bay window master cylinder fill reservoir to behind the driver’s seat in 1969.
I don't really understand why they kept making them more and more complicated. 🤷
@@VintageClassicSpecialist like any organization VW probably had an “improvements committee” that had to keep coming up with things to make themselves look busy and justify their existence
