  • During my year of growing and foraging 100% of my food in Florida, Michelle Finley was a frequent visitor to my classes and volunteer opportunities. She soaked in the knowledge I shared and took it home with her. 4 years later, I visited her at her home and I was so impressed by what I saw. She followed my simple suggestions and turned her yard into an abundant food producing garden. She is eating from the garden nearly every day and has plenty to share with neighbors. I was so inspired by Michelle’s example and I’m even more hopeful for the journey that many of us are on to break free from the grocery store and grow our own food and community!
Want to turn your yard into a garden? We’ve created an educational series to help you on this journey. We’ve also developed the Food Forest Starter Bundle, a grouping of 30 of the easiest and most abundant foods to grow in Florida.
This grouping of plants is ideal for laying the foundation for a food forest or creating The Survival Garden. You can request a bundle from us and receive the plants you need to grow your own food and break free from the grocery store!

I went to a permaculture workshop yesterday in the sunny tropics here in Australia and they used the moringa tree and mother of cocoa tree as support species

So good to see you, you and Pete(Green Dreams)were my first intros to permaculture, recently moved from Lake Placid, Fl. to Jacksonville and started filling my yard with free mulch, neighbors thought I was crazy, but while they are mowing, I'm sitting in the shade of bananas and mulberries. Last years freeze was so disappointing, but I'm back at it growing and eating my way to paradise...thanks for everything...!!!

Hello from France, very inspiring. I've also been in this dynamic for 2 years, but I'm still working...soon maybe I'll be able to be self-sufficient.

So inspirational! I also live in CFL(Sanford) in an HOA and was wondering what I could do up front to grow food. This is perfect! My backyard is limited due to my 3 large dogs that need room to run, but also will eat whatever I plant 😅

People need to get rid of their lawns/grass. Lawns are purely aesthetic unless you have kids playing on them. Beautiful yard!

I am so excited to see that you are I. FLORIDA! 😊
I would really love it if you could come to the Okaloosa county area to help me, I need all the help I can get in gardening. I moved to this state 2 years ago and was so eager about starting a garden, which I did, but it's almost nonexistent.
May you continue to be blessed and thank you for setting an example as well as an inspiration 🙌🍃🌱⭐️🌟🌟

Thank you so very much Robin! What a beautiful day in the garden. ☀️ You have been such an inspiration to myself and others. I’m so grateful for the knowledge you’ve shared and for creating this video keepsake of the progress we’ve made in building an abundant food forest. (Robin was kind enough to stay and practice yoga in the garden with myself and some friends. Join us in the garden for a quick practice sure to make you smile). Namaste 🙏🏽
