- Carter's distinctive arrangement of "Couple More Years," featuring Carter's Chord (Becky Scott, Emily Fortney and Joanna Ott), from "Playin' on the Tracks-LIVE!" Carter first recorded and performed this song singing back up to the great Waylon Jennings. Written by Shel Silverstein and Dennis Locorriere.
- Hudba
Just for the record. This song is written by Shel Silversten & Dennis Locorriere. It was Dr Hook that made the original version.
Barney, Carter and kids doing a great job.
"I've got a couple more years on you, baby, that's all". I found this Video by accident. I can’t stop watching it. BRAVISSIMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found this Video by accident. I can’t stop watching it ! 4/26/2019.
I don't know why or how this popped up in my feed. I spent yesterday running through some covers on some songs. But I decided not to keep any of them. I'm trying to walk away from one career into another one. Allergies have me in a fog but seeing this video woke me up. Thank you.
WOW , This is a fantastic performance, "Solo vocals stunning" "Harmonies Stunning" Nothing comes any better than family vocals.

Dr Hooks is better
@@marquitah1152 : - It is not clear. When you search on the net, there is Dr Hooks , S. Silverstein, and D. Locorriere. Anyway, it is a nice song.
@@marquitah1152 Yes I agree 100%
Carter Robertson’s autobiography, Playin’ On the Tracks, is one of the best memoirs I’ve read in recent years. Period. Anybody interested in powerful, no-holds-barred personal stories about the nitty gritty of the classic LA/Nashville music scene(s) needs to get her book (at Amazon or elsewhere.) Buy it. Read it. Be amazed, as I was, and be humbled. Page-turner. This was an artist who trail-blazed with Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter. Superb book. It’ll grab your heart even if you think you don’t have one. And, as this video proves, Ms. Robertson’s talent is staggering. (The story *behind* her talent is what you REALLY want to devour. Oh yeah.)
Thanks Jonathan Kieran for the info on the book. I enjoy autobiography. Especially included her time with the Waymore Band as well her on life experiences with her family. I will be looking now. Maybe will be at.Barnes and Nobles. I always enjoyed her harmony with Waylon just didn't know who she was.LoL Still learning as I enjoy the music
I Found it very very very beautyfull !!!!❤💛💙💜💚😊🎈🙏

This is fabulous. Great singing from Carter and as for the three ladies in the back.....this is what backing vocals is all about.
The three ladies are her daughters
Carter's Chord is Carter's three daughters..
Her husband (Barny) is at the keyboard..
Beautiful.
Why haven't I heard of this artist? Amazing.
She was Waylon's back-up singer.
Lawton Brewer, She is Carter Robertson. Carter and her husband, Barney, were good friends with Waylon Jennings and his wife, Jessi Colter. They both also sang and played guitar in Waylon’s band for many, many years. Carter still sings back up for Waylon’s widow, Jessi Colter.
I found this video..and I can’t stop watching it..I know at least 100 timedy

Wonderful music, beautiful performers, who carry on the magic of the great Waylon Jennings, who is one of my favorite country and western icons, and this specific song is my repeated companion, when I'm working. However, this morning when I prepared to play it with WJ, I discovered this version by you dear Carter, so gracious in this outstanding performance with the charming Carter's Chords, so please receive my humble congratulations, good wishes and success in your careers! GOD Bless!

I 1st heard of you some years ago when I saw your name in the credits after watching a DVD of Waylon's 1978 Nashville concert. I saw that same concert again on PBS shortly before typing this. You were the gal who sang at far right on the stage; sometimes the camera would have you in the foreground & Waylon in the background.
My goodness gracious.
