I kinda start to believe that Mariah Carey was a child prodigy in the field of music back then when she was young. Imagine being able to distinguish notes and sing opera at a young age, let alone write a song and master all the vocal skills by the age of 19. She just wasn't exposed to a group of people aside from her mother who helped her nurture the gift more, though Pat did enough for Mariah's voice to perfection.
Damn, this woman was overlooked but I am beyond glad she reached the superstardom she truly deserves.

This is true musicianship here. It is so sad that in the 1990s you could get this served hot while today artists have to rely heavily on technology and extravaganza on stage to disguise the fact that they cannot sing, cannot convey emotions thrrough the music itself and have 0 credit in the music they are desperately trying to popularize. This performance alone is better than anything anyone has ever done ever since. Nobody beats peak Mariah and peak Whitney when it comes to live singing.
Her voice is so sickeningly good here, it is unreal. She may have a full choir here to back her up, but Mariah has never had to rely on anyone else or anything, all she needs is a microphone and an audience to be an icon.
