This video just sold me on this knife! I’m ordering it in the bright green color because it reminds me of the ninja turtles. If I spend 300 dollars on an otf I won’t wanna use it for anything this one seems way more appropriate
Stripped the black to bare aluminum and replaced the grip tape with a brass insert and polished... great knife ... would like a better steel edge retention is not so good
i have been seeing more and learning about these otf knifes over the years but only recently made a move once i saw how inexpensive they can be. last week i went to rural king and they had that exact single action knife you show and i thought it was a steal for $50. i ran home and started looking on the internet about these knifes and saw a grindworx video that showed the akc f16. well tonight i just bought it and cant wait for it to show up. my edc for the last 9 years or so has been crkt m16--14sfg and another one just like it but with the spear tip point so i am no stranger to carrying knifes that out of the ordinary lol.
Only speaking for mine... It has very minimal side to side and front to back play... Nothing crazy... I have lived with this knife a while now, and use it on a regular basis for light duty tasks... And it is awesome... in my personal opinion. Thanks for watching.

That's a sweet knife! Seems very reliable. Not sure why some people charge 600 for those. What the hell do they use that would justify such a price tag? Some special metal spring that never wears out? I just dont get it.

The only real difference I could tell in quality was the blade play and locking mechanism. As far as the blade itself, the Gerber seemed to hold an edge a lot longer. All the other details I dont really know. I'm not an expert, but for 120 it better be the last damn knife I ever have to buy! Lol
I don't really use this in hard use situations... mainly as a box opener/sometimes EDC/general purpose knife and it has held up really good. I have not sharpened it as of yet, and it still does whatever I need it to do.....
Hows this knife holding up 4 years on now? Im looking at them right now. I want either a DA OTF or just an auto. Never had one and didnt know there were some out there less than $200 lol
Blade styles are up to each person's preferences.. I don't think durability is a major issue in an OTF, because most of the time they aren't really used in overly abusive applications. If the action and mechanism is relatively quality in them, You're usually good. Thanks for watching.
In my case, they are both good, solid knives for what they are... The M&P definitely has more bulk and weight, and also the thumb safety and glass breaker... If the M&P was a D/A I would be way more into it... I do keep the M&P in my EDC bag.
There should be some tension On the firing button... You don't want it deploying Willy-nilly in your pocket... If it is really tight, you have 2 options... 1. Contact the seller. 2. Be a man. Thanks for watching, And good luck !!
I heard from a dude who said he put some gun oil at the bottom of each side of the blade and a few on the button. He worked it for 20 mins or so and it became quiet and very fluid and easy to use. But yeah. I think most people just complain about to much.
I know you can in florida but they have to be open carry unless you have ur concealed carry permit, open carry being as simple as the clip being visible, i have no clue about georgia or chicago

A lawyer used to always come into my store and we would talk about a lot and when the subject of carrying a knife came up he said if anyone is ever caught carrying a concealed knife to never, EVER tell the police that the knife is for self defense

This has not been a daily user... But everytime I pick it up, it functions flawlessly....
if you interrupt the opening it can fail but all it takes is pulling it up and retracting to reset.
It's the handle thickness that puts me off a bit, it's thick as a book.
It's no Microtech... But for what it is, I think it's a home run.
