I start to think this was just a good performance like an Oscar-winning classic romantic movie. We, the audience feels the love and chemistry between the actors as if they were real. Do we expect the lead actors to get married in real life after shooting the movie? No because it was only a good performance.
In this case, an outstanding performance has confused the audience to think there is love outside of the ice ring , in real life.
I'd say it again, they are lovers...lovers on ice...
