The greatest Ice Dancers were Torvil and Dean from the UK who led the way. They changed Ice Dancing forever. Virtue and Moir just took what they did to another level 40 years later. And they excelled and won numerous Olympics, World titles and Championships. I personally think both teams are the greatest Ice Dancers ever.

Virtue and Moir were great. Jane Torville and Christopher Dean were better.

Got ill and Dean are the gold standard in I’ve dancing. They MIGHT be equaled , but never surpassed!

I really do believe at some point those two were in love with each other. What a shock when he announces his engagement to a woman who he supposedly skated with when they were quite young. I really wish Scott and Tessa had been able to keep their love for each other alive.

In truth they stole the show. It's wonderful to see the complicity and joy that Scott and Tessa demonstrated to have in their working partnership. It's adorable, it's inspiring , and , above all , it’s comforting to watch the dignified, human and respectful way , in which these two human beings relate to each other, because it is a balm for the souls , and a escape from the suffering for many people , who lives in an affective cold and pure violent relationships , and whom no one helps, because no one wants to bother. And so, an escape from this suffering is to watch examples of positive and dignified lives. Thank you Scott and Tessa for your good work and example.

False statement. People have short memories and young generations do not know who were the greatest ice dance team ever and the first Olympic champions in ice dance competitions. For those who do not know Ice dancing was not an Olympic sport and was included in OG in 1970 for the first time. Lyudmila Pakhomova and Alexander Gorshkov were the first Olympic champions in 1970. They were World and European gold medalists for 6 years. Ice dance was included in OG thanks to them. They are the most gold medal decorated ice dance team ever. They managed to accomplish this record from 1970 to 1976. they were practically unbeatable. If we talk about Virtue and Moir their accomplishments were made from 2008 to 2018 and they were beaten at 2014 OG by Lauren Davis and Charlie White. Virtue and Moir were World champions 3 times and twice Olympic gold medalists in individual competitions. Obviously, there was no team competitions in 1970. Grishuk and Platov were Olympic champions in individual competitions twice as well and Virtue and Moir. No matter how you count Pakhomova and Gorshkov had more gold medals and brought much more in the sport. Their program Tango Romantica is a compulsory dance in ice dancing competition. I liked some of Virtue and Moir's programs, but their free dance in 2018 OG was a tasteless program with tasteless music from Moulin Rouge. Papadakis and Cizeron deserved to win 2018 OG.
