Will NUSANTARA Be Ready? | Indonesia's New Capital in April 2024

Halo Indonesia Apa Kabar,Kopi Mana Kopi
It has been a few months since I first learned about Indonesia's new capital city of Nusantara that is currently under construction to replace Jakarta.
Since it has been a while, and the ceremony for Indonesia's 79th Independence day is scheduled there in 4 months or so. I figured I would find a video that shows how construction progress is going.

Sudah beberapa bulan sejak saya pertama kali mengetahui tentang ibu kota baru Indonesia, Nusantara, yang saat ini sedang dibangun untuk menggantikan Jakarta.
Karena sudah cukup lama, dan upacara hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia ke-79 dijadwalkan di sana sekitar 4 bulan lagi. Saya pikir saya akan menemukan video yang menunjukkan kemajuan konstruksi.

I read an article that there was increasing public backlash against the move? Is this true, or is it a vocal few that don't want the move?

80% Indonesia approve the move.
Normally the minority are more vocal.

@@thevictorone Not moving the capital would result in massive investment to improve infrastructure and flood mitigation. Thats good money for those in construction business and by moving the capital you shoot 2 birds at the same time.
More jobs more oportunities better working environment and less stress ri Jakarta. Afterall its all not instant and the result would be felt 30yrs from now.
It would be a vibrant city with at least 2 million population.
Afterall the present site have almost 2 million residence within 50km radius.

I saw someone mention embung is lake, it's more like retention basin. It's very useful because Indonesia rains and floods a lot.

U can’t review and see the smart forest city for now Victor, come back 5 to 10 years later to review it, before IKN land is industrial forest which the tree is cut down every 5 years. And now Indonesian government already build the nursery of tropical tree at IKN (u can watch Dian Dana’s video about the nursery ofcoz). And IKN already did the mass planting of various tropical tree along with development of IKN
