  • Welcome to this very special urban exploration trip! Today my friend and I travel to the former Waverly Oaks Child Development Center in Waltham MA.... this is not just any old abandoned location however because this was where I actually attended preschool from 2001 to 2003. This building is part of the Walter E. Fernald State School for the Mentally Handicapped and when constructed (early 1900's) was a home for one of the on-site doctors. Although records are scarce, we assume it was turned into a preschool around the 1970's or so. This preschool program unfortunately lost all fundings and closed it's doors for good in 2005. Thank you so much for watching! It has been quite awhile since I last did urbex so let me know what you guys think, and as for all my avgeek friends, I have plane spotting videos coming up soon!

My preschool should be easy to find as it was in the basement of a baptist church. I don’t know if they closed it or not.

Also some of these toys someone should clean them up and give the to kids who are less fortunate or adult collectors who collect old toys like one of the dolls I saw is a My Buddy doll from the 80's which was part of the inspearation for Chucky.

Hey, I’m looking to use some moments in this video as clips in a documentary I’m working on. Do I have your permission to use these clips (with due credit, of course)?

It was easily one of the most surreal experiences I’ve had so far! Mainly because I had pictures of me there as a kid when it was still fully functioning! :)
