Air Canada A319 Flight YVR-BOS

  • Welcome aboard Air Canada 532 from Vancouver to Boston! Back in the day Air Canada used to offer direct flights from Boston to Vancouver, but shortly after the 9/11 attacks they ended this service due to loss in demand. a few years ago however, Air Canada studied how many Boston passengers were connecting through their Toronto and Montreal hubs onward to Vancouver and deemed a direct flight profitable once again. They also used this flight to open up another less-crowded alternative for passengers traveling to Australia and Asia from Massachusetts/New England. This flight was very enjoyable and the service was terrific! These Airbuses in AC's fleet are older than I am and back in 2007, Air Canada did a massive retrofit of the entire fleet dubbed: ProjectXM. With this "Xtreme Makeover" added an entirely new IFE system by Thales Avionics for their Airbus A319/320/321/330, and Boeing 777/767 fleet. At this point, 11 years later, it is starting to really show its age. It was extremely slow to respond and both the USB outlet and headphone jack were worn out beyond use. Despite this I still enjoyed the flight and the hospitality! I hope you find this video informative and fun!

Thanks for watching! As far as my channel goes, yes. I am trying to be more frequent with my uploading. I am in the process of looking at different cities and airlines to try out for future trip reports as well as new plane spotting locations! Stay tuned

I fly to and from boston annually. Glad you are posting again. Did you see the new terminal E? Spectacular. It accommodates a380s now, and I heard Logan saw a spike in passengers. Good for them!

Great video, never flown AC myself (may be an option if i go to the UK next year, but Norshuttle is opening up flights from my local CYHM airport to dublin so that may be a way i go instead connecting though there)

Sad to report they got rid of the flight again. High demand in the summer probably helped them fill the planes, and I guess they just don't have the same demand during the colder months, especially November when it's not the Christmas rush. Maybe YVR-BOS will be back next summer.

Sam Belton yes for right now this flight has been operated seasonally but I hear it’s actually been doing AC some good introducing their routes to Australia/Asia via YVR so maybe in the future we will see regular service?! Thanks for watching
