On average a baby wipe will use 8,000 baby wipes in their first year! Depending on the choice of baby wipes this can add up to hundreds $$$ of dollars. Also biodegradable, toxin-free wipes are even more expensive! Instead make these! These are the softest, thickest, most effective wipe you will ever use!
// DIRECTIONS
- cloth wipes or scraps of material
- 2 cups of water
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 1 tbsp of castile soap
heat, melt, mix!
- 6 drops each of lavender & tea tree essential oil
You can as easily make this recipe with paper towels if you're not interested in cloth!

ADDING my suggestions on laundry!
I suggest using a wet bag for wet laundry such as wipes, here is an option: amzn.to/3kZA9eP and keep it in a small or large pail (even if you don't do cloth diapers!)
-- For exclusive breastfed babies, the waste is water soluble so there is no need to rinse/dunk wipes, simply put them in the wet bag.
-- For babies that have been introduced to solids, you will need to rinse them or run them in on a cold rinse cycle BEFORE you add in the rest of your laundry!
Wash the wipes every 4-5 days. You can launder the wipes with your other laundry by first following the instructions on rinsing above respectively.

Thanks for sharing. Can you walk me through the process of cleaning the wipes after they are used? I use disposable diapers but would like to try these wipes. I normally would wrap the disposable wipes in with the dirty diaper and throw them away but how could I incorporate these? Would I have to rinse them out every time I change a diaper? Thanks again!❤

Never! I keep them in an open container and use up in a few days
