Odd that the seller had the ignition barrel break the day after purchase years back. Is it fairly common? I have read a few posts about it on mud but can’t decide if it’s as common as some say
It happened to me. If you aren't ginger with it I could see how it could break easily. I don't think I was too hard on it but after that I was less aggressive with it.
@@thelandcruiserproject Thanks! My Hundys creeping past 232k and it’s 26 years old. Better I replace it now and not get stranded. I’ll add it to my revolving list
If I could do it again, I think I'd have the part and tools in the vehicle to change it and just be ready if it ever breaks. The key is to just be gentle when the steering is locked up when the car is off and you have to crank the wheel a bit and jangle the key. If you can just take it easy there I don't think you'd ever have an issue.
Predicted Final Price: Sold for $21,500
Actual Final Price: Sold for $19,000
