TBS KL Bus Terminal Travel Guide for Dummies in 2023 - Getting here, buy tickets, walkabout

Buying a bus ticket in Malaysia can be a stressful experience since there are not much guidance provided even from official sites and their website is inaccessible at times.
TBS (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan) is the main bus terminal in KL for long-distance bus travel. The other smaller bus terminal closer to the city center is KL Sentral, but not all long-distance buses will make a stop there.
In this video, we will take a look around TBS so that you will not be in a shock during your transit there and things to take note of to make your experience less stressful.

If I bought my tickets online but didn’t get the boarding pass , so i need to go to the counter to get the physical ticket right??

Yes. Go to the counter for online ticket collection by showing your eticket booking from your handphone and they will print you a physical ticket with a QR code on it

hello, how do you get off a bus? do you press something? how will the driver know you're gonna get off at a certain bus stop?

Usually the bus goes to another main terminal directly but may have a few drop-off points in between. Basically I would say best to discuss with the bus driver.

Very long lines to buy tickets. Is it possible to buy them in advance here ( offline ) , let's say 2 days before departure?

That is possible... using the machines you can choose the date in advance. Counter wise should be able to. Buy the return ticket first once you have reached the terminal.

Yes you still need to exchange for their physical ticket with QR code to scan at the barrier
