ROGERS DRUMS COVINGTON KIT REVIEW feat 3 TUNING PROFILES FOR 6 STYLES OF MUSIC

- Here's my new drum tuning video on my brand new Rogers Covington Drums. Consider this a handbook for tuning a 4 piece kit for several styles of music. Hear the awesome tonal range of these reborn legends via 3 full tuning profiles (Big Band/Jazz, Hard Rock/Pop/Gospel Chops, and Classic Rock/Country), that includes the pitches I used for each drum on each tuning as well as Drum Dial, and Tune Bot settings to help those who tune using those units. These are hands down some of the finest sounding drums I have ever had the pleasure of playing, much less owning. They SOUND LIKE vintage Rogers drums. Huge tone, huge sound, and sustain for days on the toms. The 20" bass drum plays/sounds like a 22", but retains the tight punch of a 20" kick. The 14" tom sounds like a 16" if you want it too, and the deep tones I got from these toms at higher tunings is simply unheard of at those tensions. Yet there it is. Big, rich, deep powerful tones that can fit ANY style of music. They LOOK LIKE a classic Rogers kit with the beavertail lugs, the gull wing spurs, the clock face floor tom leg brackets, the Bow Tie BD Tension Rods, the interior fruitwood stain, and the script logos. Unbelievable attention to detail has been put into this kit. To quote Willie Wonka "The Snozberries taste like snozberries" ya'll. I hope you enjoy this vid, these drums, and the awesome set of tuning tips provided for your tuning pleasure.

It's amazing what tuning can do...its like 3 different sets! You're an artist
Wow thank you so much. It’s an amazing set of drums so i’m just trying to guide the heads to where the drum wants to take them. Thank you so much for watching.
Wow!! Fantastic kit!
Thanks so much for including TUNE BOT settings. So helpful...
My pleasure. I hope it helps. Thank you for the kind words, and for watching. 🤘🏻
Thanks a lot Kenny, very valuable advice as often and thank you for sharing us the settings.

Thank you my friend
Kit sounds great, sharing settings is so helpful. Thanks
Drumming4Practice thank you, and thx for watching. I try to be helpful.
Another killer video Kenny! All three tunings were fantastic. Those Rogers sound sweet when tuned correctly
Drummerbigwavedave thank you my friend. I’m trying. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Amazing! Sounds like samples in sense that they projection and cut individually. Power and tone. Killer.
Eddy Vilar duuuude thank you. Means the world to me to hear that! Hope you are well my friend, and thx for commenting.
Mate that kit sounds awesome.
And there's no hiding how happy you are with it .
The 2nd and 3rd tuning were nice. I love me a phat sound ..... With sustain.
Thanks for the video Kenny 👍
Customwinder 1 Thank you so much. I loved all three tunings, but that third one 🤣🤣🤣🤣 THUNDER!!!!
Thanks for the diversity in the tuning settings!!!! That kit sounds amazing with all 3 tunings but it really shined (imo) with the first tuning.
Steven Moore IKR??!! When I dialed that first tuning to start the vid it blew me away. I had already set the 12” in my online FB clinic but in the studio it was just sickness!!!! Once dialed the floor literally blew my mind. Thank you so much for watching!
@@KennySharretts thanks for sharing the info amigo! Stay safe out there.
God darn it Kenny that is a wonderful sounding proper drum kit , and some killer playing I might add ..sweet dude I want one 👍✊
Thank you so much for the compliments. Much appreciated. I do love these drums. Thank you for watching.
Tuning the bottom head lower than the top makes the drum feel and sound huge. Great insight.
Absolutely. Like a big thud with minimal sustain. Epic for the studio. Thank you so much for watching.
Awesome in all tunings...great review, great drumming, love it......
Hush Angel wow thank you so much for the kind words. I had fun making this video. Thx for watching.
Sounds incredible! thanks for the tips
My pleasure. Thank you for the kind words, and for watching. ✊🏻
Love this Kenny, in fact I have just bought a reissue Dynasonic which is a KILLER drum! Went for the 6.5 depth an will be trying all your tuning schemes from the previous videos. Thanks for the superb content!
Paul Brown awesome yeah it’s an AWESOME drum. I’m sure one of those tunings will hit the mark. Thank you so much for the kind words, and for watching.
I started playing drums in the early seventies and dreamed of owning a Rogers kit with Zildjian cymbals. I’m glad to hear they are back! Even though I am currently, completely happy with my Gretsch Renown kit, It is a joy to watch you play that Rogers set. Not to mention that gorgeous peppermint pearl wrap on them! 🤘😁👍
Thank you so much. I'm having fun. It's a great kit. Thx for watching, and for commenting.
Duuuuuude!!! Yeah!!! Thanks for the video.
My pleasure. Thank you for watching 🤘🏻
Thanks for explaining in great detail. I have a better grasp on the tuning now.
My pleasure brother. 🙌🙌🙏🙏
I have a Rogers blue sparkle set with Zildjian cymbals that I put together piece by piece starting in the mid 60's to early 70's... but, haven't ever been good at tuning them... I wish I had your talent for that... great video!!
Howdy Steve. Thank you so much for the kind words, and for watching. Please note that tuning is a skill you can develop, and it’s never too late. Excellent video on incredible drums!
Coming from you Jeff that means the world to me. I tried to make a mini handbook for the 4 piece kit so I hope it helps. Btw. I’m absolutely LOVING THEM! Might have to expand the collection soon. Thank you so much for the kind words, and for watching brother. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🙏🙏🙏
@@KennySharretts you're welcome my friend! You're a complete master and professional at tuning . I always learn something new with your videos.
Dude you looked exhausted after all that! I can tell the drums inspired you to blow it out! Man they are amazing sounding drums! Thanks for the awesome work brother!
On the last take yes. Technical difficulties ruined the first 2 run through a of the drumming, and the oxygen levels in the studio were running low. Lolol
Kenny Sharretts Haha! Right on! You killed it bro!
Beautiful kit. Sounds great.
Thank you so much for the kind words, and thank you for watching. 🙌🙌🙌
Love your review and the drums…I’m the original owner of a Holiday kit, red sparkle, early 60s. Absolutely love them!
Thank you so much for the kind words, and thank you for watching. ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻 Loving this kit.
The 2nd tuning is awesome. Very helpful. I am going to try it out on my friends studio kit this afternoon. Thanks Ken ! P.S. I love K Darks too!
That's awesome to hear. Agreed on the K Darks. Thanks for the kind words, and for watching. Please like, share, and subscribe if you wish.
Dude! Awesome video, man! Thanks for demonstrating the capabilities of Rogers Drums. If people don’t have time to watch the whole video, I’ve highlighted some key points that everyone can understand. 4:44, 4:56, 5:48 and 7:24. Enough said! I think I’ll use the first tuning of the snare for any style I play. OMG!
Thank you so much for the kind words 🙏 Highlight away. Lots of good info on this one.
Sheez...Incredible tone & sustain!
IKR???!!! These Covington toms are insanely rich in tone, and sustain. Thx for the kind words, and for watching.
I always want a Rogers kit for years. Every since my uncle had a Rogers kit back then in the 70`s I`ve been in love of that drum set. And I told myself if I can be able get a Rogers kit, there`e no other drums can compare to Rogers drums. To me Rogers is the no.1 of all.
Trevell Ellis bro I am loving this kit. Check out my new comparison vid with some vintage Rogers drums.
Gosh I love it❤❤❤
Thank you so much for the kind words, and thank you for watching.
great color choice!
Thx I absolutely love it.
Thank you Kenny for your tips! I am just starting to experiment with tuning in order to get the best tone I can out of my little Gretsch Catalina (no laughing please - it looks beautiful and it's the best I could afford). I don't really live gig, I just home record for fun. This video is really helpful as I only ever use even tuning top and bottom. Sending good vibes from Northern Ireland!
Thank you for the kind words, and for commenting. Stoked to know you find the vids helpful. If you need more guidance, please note I have step-by-step tuning vids on my website, as well as you can book online tuning lessons. Please visit www.kennysharretts.com
yeah bro! that kit sound great!
TnRProducts yes sir they are sweet drums. The little Booty Shakers rocked for the Tom on a snare stand.
Awesome Kenny!
Thank you so very much for the kind words, and for watching. As I’m telling everyone. Super Thanks is now available on my CZcams channel to tip for the tips. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I started using a tunbot a few years back and my 25-year-old drums sound better then ever! @@KennySharretts
When I first heard this through my decent headphones I felt it lacking depth. Then I looked at the sizes. I'd love to hear that kit with a 22x14 or 22x16 kick. With a supraphonic hand hammered 14x5 snare. Your kit has a really nice tone. Nice to see and hear a beautiful Rogers kit, in a world of dw.
I can't believe you don't have more subscribers!
IKR??!!! Meee tooooo! Lol! Please help spread the word. Share as you wish. 🙌
Love the kit and tuning . Applied them to my 70"s Rogers Holiday kit. Can you do a 12,13, 16 tom setup? All I can say is sweeeeeet! Great content!
I’ll see what I can put together for sure. Thx for the kind words , and for watching. 🤘🏻
Great video
Brendan thank you so much for the kind words, and thx for watching. 🙏🙏🙏
Love that big band tuning!
Neal Babbitt thank you. Me too. I’m blown away by all the different tones this kit can produce.
Neal Babbitt btw thank for the kind words, and for watching. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Kenny for videos. I just purchased a Ludwig classic maple double bass kit. I just live 45 min away from the Ludwig factory.
Nice! I had a set of Ludwig Classics for the longest time. I miss those drums. Thx for watching, and please subscribe if you like.
I still have my 1968 Rogers 380. Marine pearl finish since 1981
Awesome. Love me some Rogers drums. Thank you for commenting, and for watching.
Thanks for this amazing video
Please could you share the Evans Torque Key settings for these tunings
Howdy. I'm stoked you like the video. I hope it was help full. I didn't use an Evans Torque Key during the session alas I do not know. Thank you so much for watching.
Killer kit
Thank you very much. I’m loving it.
What a sound
Thank you. It’s proved to be an amazing kit.
Thank you very much for the very detailed video including the tunning settings! I have a question about the third tuning. I noticed you didn't mention the bass drum tunning settings for the third tunning setting. Im guessing it didn't change from the second?
Kevin Bates you are correct sir. No change. Thank you for the kind words, and for watching. 🤘🏻
First I must say you are the best demonstrator salesman ever Professional and extremely knowledgeable on the product you Demonstrate which brings me to another You are a Tremendous drummer Love your Skills Why haven't I heard more of you, Now the ROGERS SET is SMOKIN SMOKIN HOT I LOVE these ROGERS and THANK GOD they didn't add on that ridiculous TRUNK Paint Sealer as the Did back in the day. I guess to compensate for Gretsch Silver sealer on their Sets I know A lot of Brands used Paint to cover their flaws as Ludwig White Paint Slingerland with a Beige Color ridiculous. NOW Look at the beauty of the WOOD these Drums Use AMAZING and the Sound TREMENDOUS I'm Waiting to see if they make an 18x14 BD with Two Rack Toms on BD a 10x7 or 8 and 12x8 plus a 14x14 Floor Tom with Matching Wood Dynasonic Man Im in Heaven
funkman0811 first off Thx for the kind words, and for watching. I’m just having fun sharing drum tuning knowledge on this awesome Rogers kit. I’ve been waiting for these to come out. Secondly I agree. The fruitwood stain is beautiful. Loving this kit.
After watching this ( fantastic drumming by the way) I've only gone and bought 1 identical to this 1!!! 😂😂😂
First of all thank you for the kind words. Secondly, AWESOME on getting this kit as these drums rock. The sound engineers have flipped over the drum sound on every gig I’ve done on this kit! Thank you so much for watching.
@@KennySharretts I just need to learn how to tune like you now Kenny. I've always found it difficult. My brother is much better than me at this. I was using an advanced tuning kit for a few years and I loved the ease of tuning on it. Thank you once again for sharing your passion and knowledge. I'm completely inspired by you. God bless you
I grew up on Chicagoland area which was dominated by Slingerland, Ludwig and Camco. Thank you for this demo of the new Roger's drums. Definitely got my attention and admiration. Or is it jealousy and envy?
You are welcome. Thank you for watching 🤘🏻
Kenny love your videos, could you show us how to get a fatter rock sound with a 18" kick
When I get hold of one you bet. Until then the vids I did for the 16” Kick apply perfectly to an 18” thank you so much for the kind words, and for watching 💥
That third tuning you did was butter. Nice playing as well :). Any chance you’d be doing tuning of a 5 piece kid for rock/prog/metal?
KGTv thank you so much. Yes sir. It is in the works. Please comment on the type of sound YOU look for in your rock/prog/metal tunings. Although tunings 2 or 3 would kill on all those styles. Thank you for commenting, and thx so much for watching!🤘🏻
Have these drums got coated ambassadors on toms top and bottom? If so would you replace reso with clear single ply?
In this vid it's coated ambassadors top and bottom as they came. I love the sound, but I also love clear resos. At the moment I switched to clear resos to see how it sounded. Sounds great. I love both. Coated warms up/tightens up the tone a bit more. I did a comparison video between coated, and clear resos on this kit. Please check it out, and thanks for watching/commenting. czcams.com/video/uZDbTwXmEf4/video.html
Would love to see a segment, on tuning the famous Ludwig Supraphonic...🙂
Roy Beckerman coming soon.
4:55 some say they heard the sound waves of that tom travel all the way to california...
Sounds freakin' incredible.
Lol you rule dude. Yeah that sustain brother. It’s insanely good.
Those drums sounds sick. You should sell drum sample packs!
Christian Saona thank you so much. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 That is awesome to hear. Maybe one day soon.
How/what notes would you tune a Sonor SQ1 kit w/ 13.16,18” toms to the perfect 3rd major technique?
Jason Williams Alas that can depend on the drum. Got Pete Thomas’ 13” x 9” he likes D/F#. A/C# on the 16” so I’d try a F/A on the 18”. If you need more help please remember I do online drum tuning lessons. They are quite effective at dialing the sound you want. Thx for watching
When you post notes and frequency numbers, your only measuring the lugs not the middle of the drum or fundamental note?
Yes.
Are those Tunebot settings the fundamental note or note adjacent each lug?
The note of the lugs. Thank you for watching
Any tips for not being able to get batter head as low as you on the 3rd tuning?
Thomas Mowforth just bring it up to the lowest pitch the top head can hold, then tune the bottom head a major third above that pitch.
What sizes do they come in we need much more information the sound is very good what options are available at this time? thanks
Magwa Magwa at the moment they have 2 shell packs, and 2 finishes. Shell packs are 12” Tom, 14” floor , and 20” kick or 12”, 16” floor, 22” kick. Finishes are black lacquer or Red Ripple. More to come soon. Thank you for watching 🙏
do the lugs sometimes match the center note?
It can if there is imbalance. “In general”, however, if the head is perfectly balanced the center pitch will be just a bit sharp of the lug pitch. That’s why I tune to the lug pitch. Quicker, and more accurate overall. Thank you so much for watching, and hopefully subscribing. 🙏
Nice sounding drums for sure,!!!! Are those ELA M 251 OH and U47 on bass?
just Music actually it’s a Heil PR28 , a Heil PR31BW on the floor then Brian Mendes had his WA-251s for overheads and the WA-47jr for the external kick mic to rock the session. He had a 57 on the snare that was good, but I wish I had used my PR22. It’s got some extra tone to it. Thank you for the kind words, and for watching.
@@KennySharretts
Thanks for your reply Kenny, I am very impressed with those WA 251's they capture the kit beautifully as well as the WA47jr on the kick.
Kit sounds great and great demo. Love that finish and their gold sparkle, too. Wish I could buy one but $4300 for a 3 piece, I don’t think so!
Noise Machines ATX this set was actually less than that as it’s the smaller sizes. I understand though as it’s a high price tag, but I will say they are 100% top quality drums. A true pro kit. Thank you for the kind words though, and for watching.
New here..... Thanks and Blessings!
Welcome and thank you for watching 🙏🙏🙏
I still own my late 60's Gold Sparkle set that I got new when I was a kid. and I would never sell it.
photographerjonathan dude I’ve been checking out the many vintage Rogers kits belonging to three awesome ATX drummers. I’m continually amazed with how great those AND these drums are.
Thats great! I wish I'd kept my 1st set I got in 1976 for my 12th birthday. It was a 3 piece red metal flake Slingerland.
Awesome kit and sound, a bit dramatic in the presentation but awesome drums.
🤣🤣🤣I do get excited about good drum sounds. This was literally the first chance I had to play my new kit so I was pretty pumped with the sound, and how easy they tune up.
Wow they sounds absolutely gorgeous so clean and fat and resonant. Awesome tunings and playing. What ride you rockin out there??!!🔥🥁
Thank you so much for the kind words brother. 🤘🏻 It’s a 21” Zildjian K Sweet Ride. Absolutely LOVE it.
@@KennySharretts nice ya that’s a great ride. I see you have a prototype of one. I ended up with a 23 great ride too. Thanks for all the tuning settings whenever I get in trouble with a drum I go to your settings so thanks for that.
Very nice set. Are the shells made in Taiwan?
I believe so.
Do they use the same shells as before?
Me me they are designed with similar specs with the intent of recreating the originals. I did a side by side with a set of ‘68 power tone toms. Like twins. Thank you for watching.
I just re cut some bearing edges on a awesome rogers kit from the 60s .
Todd Vierra awesome.
Would you tune a 16” the same as you did the 14”?
Interval wise sure, but I’d use lower pitches. Check out the video I did on the 16” Rogers Covington Floor Tom which is paired with the 12” tom in the video. The full step by step lesson for tuning a 16” Floor Tom is at www.kennysharretts.com Thank you for watching.
HOW TO TUNE A 16 IN FLOOR TOM AKA A MOST USEFUL TUNING VIDEO
czcams.com/video/KAdFugi3HJo/video.html
Wouldn't they have even more sustain without the re-rings? What is the purpose for using them on modern drums?
They are there to make sure the shell stays in round. They sustain quite well.
@@KennySharretts I thought so. But I heard a comparison video by Drum Center of NH with four current Ludwig 12 inch toms and the classic maple had the most sustain compared to a classic oak, Legacy Maple and Legacy Mahogany.
We found a Rogers drumset in a backroom of our church. wondering if we could find someone to help us see what their worth is?
For sure. Congrats 🎉 n the find. Check with the Rogers Drums USA Facebook Group. They will be able to give you a better idea. Very kind, and knowledgeable folks over there.
Kick ass tunings! I play in an SRV tribute band in Japan. I'm playing unmic'ed next week at a large bar and grill. I have those same sizes. Usually I play a 24 18 16 13 with a P4 reso higher.
If I use my 20 16 14 12 kit, which tuning do you recommend? 1, 2, or 3?
All 1970s Pearl luan wood.
Again, you kick ass always, Kenny!
Wow thank you for the kind words. If I was mic'ed playing the blues I'd say 3. If I'm outdoors I'd choose 1 or 2. Tuning 1 tends to project more out to the Audience, but you won't have as supple of a feel to your toms. Tuning 2 tends to project more towards the player BUT it is THE LOUDEST of the three tunings in terms of projection. Plus you are used to the 4th. Either way they are 4ths so May the 4th be with you. LOLOL! Thank you so much for watching.
@@KennySharretts You're the bestest, Kenny! That advice helps a lot! Thank you, sir.
John Reardon you are welcome. Please share the channel to help it grow. Your viewership is much appreciated.
Great suggestions. For big band 24/16/13 would you use the DD settings as in #1?
Good question! How about things for the traditional Buddy Rich set of 24" bass drum, 13" tom, and two 16" floor toms? Snare would be a 5" or 5.5" x 14.
Yes alas at the moment these are the only Rogers drums I have. I DO , however, have three good friends with awesome Rogers collections. When TX settles down Covid wise, I may have to do some drum borrowing from my brothers of the drum. Thx for watching.
Actually YES!!! LOL, the tom Pitches would be maybe a step lower for each drum to really hit the maximum sonic umph of each size. For Example the 13" might work best at A on the Batter and E on the reso. E lower than A. The BD would probably be fine at those pitches if not maybe a half to step higher . Thank you so much for watching.
Also please check my reply to Craig Ridgway
Did you pull this spokesman off a used car lot?
🤣🤣🤣 what can I say I love the kit. 🙏🙏🙏
Dude that’s a cool kit I would only say the price on these kits are stupid 4K no thanks. I have 2 vintage Rogers I love. But your playing is amazing and always appreciate Th e way you play.
Ryan Glick dude thank you for the kind words. I will say after playing them for awhile, and some vintage Rogers drums lately that these stand the tone test. You are blessed to have two vintage Rogers to love. For those who have always dreamed of buying a brand new Rogers Kit this is their opportunity to do so. I’m sure they will love them like you love yours. Rogers never were inexpensive drums. They were top quality. Thank you so much for watching, and commenting 🙏
Your ROGERS or your DW..😊
Which do you prefer..?
I love my DW’s but I really do love these Rogers drums.
Back in the day Rogers built top shelf kits,b4 the big R badge, when they had the script badge.I think a lot of us older players thought the long a waited unveil would be a little more like the past, but naturally with the new technology of today.Us older generation really liked the swivelmatic era. And the shells being produced in the USA. The new kits have the look with the lugs,t rods, and badges but come on folks what were they thinking with this ridiculous price tag. I'm sure the folks at DW realize that when they bring slingerland back, the pricing will be the biggest factor. There are so many great drums being built today at a fair price,I'm sorry but Big Bang distributors, this is a stick up.Good luck, your going to need it.
While I understand your frustration with the price, I gotta say I’ve played this kit. The price reflects the quality, and craftsmanship of these drums. Their proprietary shell design is a one of a kind method using heat bending of the plies to create a shell that projects that undeniable Rogers sound. Considering the large # of kits I’ve been told they have on order I think they will do fine. Considering how good these drums sound, I think they will do more than fine, but again I understand your question about the pricing, and the shell construction. Thx for watching, and for commenting.
The great paul Thompson played Roger's drum in the early days of Roxy music check the great paul thompson drumming on the bogus man and out of the blue.
Indeed. That's why I love these drums. They sound like the old school Rogers.
you noted stock heads... 2 ply? sounds killer. thanks!!!!!!!
Single ply. Remo vintage ambassadors I believe. And thank you. Loving this kit.
Kenny Sharretts the “vintage” ambassadors are actually a 2ply head, but thinner than modern emperors, and the vintage emperors are even thicker... I believe. Thanks again!
sean england yikes I think you are right. Well it’s a super thick single ply head Lolol. I mentioned stick heads because they are actually nice heads
sean england btw I was thinking of the thicker Evans single plys. Lol! The official word is Ambassadors. Straight up.
👍🏿
Roy Beckerman Thank you, and thx for watching.
Never owned Rogers drums. Always wondered where vent holes are.
On this model it's on the drum. Right in the middle of the shell. MMMnnn shells. I feel lucky to own one. Thx for watching.
@@KennySharretts Thank you for your time. Uh and of course GREAT REVIEW!!!!!!
Tremendous Sounding drums you can not only see the craftsmanship but hear it the bass Drum Hummed a little to much for my liking but that easily resolved with some slight muffling.Ok my gripes Were is the swivel matic Tom Bass drum Holder? I notice the tom was on a Stand. and Bass drum Creeping Seeing the old Side Mounted Bass drum Spurs always caused a problem with the Bass drum Creeping How did they solve that without a Rug or front BD Clamp.. and are Other Setr ups available and Sizes such as TWO Rack Toms Mounted on BASS DRUM and Maybe a Jazz Be Bop 18x14 Bass Drum now That I would jump on in a heartbeat.
Yeah I left that BD wide open lol! I wanted to emulate that classic sound. I also left the toms wide open so you could hear the sustain. Basically these are raw sounds straight from the mic. The only creep I dealt with in the shoot had to do with a thin rug. I’m actually impressed by how well the spurs hold. I was in your camp initially and expected sliding. No sliding though. They hold very well. As far as the swivomatic holder? I love virgin kicks so i’m cool with the Tom on a snare stand. Thank you so much for watching, and commenting. 🙏🙏🙏
Good question I know nothing about Manufacturing but for the s w i v o matic Tom holder you would need the dies and a Metal Manufacturing facility to reproduce them which would probably be very expensive
The guy who bought the Rogers rights from Yamaha owns Dixon Drums in Taiwan. I assume that's where the new Rogers is getting its shells?
Yes indeed. The shells are made In Taiwan.
i'm picking my jaw up off the floor now
Homero Tamez 😂😂😂 I can understand. That’s how I felt while shooting this vid. Thx so much for watching 🙏
whoa, there's a wall behind the drums
Need better bass drum spurs. If I acquired a set...........I would customize with solid tight forward spurs. Otherwise well designed.
I was that way at first, but they hold really well. Thx for watching, and commenting 🙏
My double bass Ludwig Black Oyster Pearl Set has that type'
Why No Rogers pedal
Because at the time I did not have one. I have the Dyna-Matic now. It’s awesome. I’m rocking the strap drive.
Sizes....20, 12, 14.....?
Miguel Antonio De Vincenzo yes sir. I mentioned the tom sizes in text mainly, but yeah the more compact shell pack. The 14” floor is huge sounding! The 20” feels like a 20”, has punch like a 20”, but the boom of a 22”! Thank you so much for watching 🙏
Do you do voice overs? If not you should.
Working on it.
Please don’t call me stupid! Lol! Why do these remind me of high end Yamahas like Mr Magic (Steve Gadd) uses?
Never a stupid question here sir. Probably because in the end high-end drums tend to have a great sound/tone. Moreover, while these drums exhibit all the warmth expected of maple drums, they also have quite the level of presence/attack normally associated with birch drums. Thx for watching.
Only swivo for me 3 plys
Script logo in bdp
I know many who feel that way, but I simply can't say enough good things about my new kit. It sounds sooooo good. Thx for watching.
@@KennySharretts are the shells made in. Usa Kenny?
Wondering if you have tried calf .mule. kangaroo skins ?
Did anybody count the "y'all's?"
🤣🤣🤣🤣 as a Texan it keeps it real for all. It’s so easy to say, guys, dudes, etc which can be non-inclusive to female drummers. Y’all? Keeps it friendly for all. 🤣🤣🤗 but yeah I say it alot. Thx for watching 🙏
I'm just playing. It was entertaining. I live in Georgia, so I'm used to it. Keep up the good work. 👍
terrydrums thx 🙏 yeah I laughed when I saw your comment. It’s a go to phrase for me for sure. 🤣🤣🤣
Part of their hardware innovations was the bass drum tom mount. Let's get it back there and stop with this 'tom in a snare basket' nonsense. Otherwise, great sound and great playing!
Jusayin first of all thank you very much. I’m loving my virgin kick, but I got hold of the new replacement Tom arms, and hung out with Jason whose 24” Rogers BD had the mount. You are correct. The mount is pretty cool, and functional. The replacement arm rocks. Jason’s collection is pretty dope. Thank you for watching, and again for the kind words.
This guy can sell a kit lol
J.T. Aguilar 🤣🤣🤣 I cant help it. This kit is amazing. So versatile. Such a great sound. I was just trying to a review, but this kit kinda sells itself 🤣🤣🤣 thank you so much for watching.
Did they really need to be reviewed? They're Rogers Drums That says enough. I was bummed when they stopped making them.
the tingler well I had just gotten a set of the newly reborn Rogers Covington drums so I figured I’d let people know how great the new kits are. Considering they were just released? 🤗🤗🤗 Review in order. 🤘🏻 Beyond that this is much more than a review video. I also shared the settings for all three tuning profiles I did on this kit which can be applied to any set of drums. Thank you for watching.
Thank you very much for replying. Remember the Butcher Block Rogers drums with the memory lock. Cool
the tingler agreed. A dope kit for sure.
