  • This is a detailed review of the TPMS functions of the Autel MaxiPRO MP808TS. First, I do a walkthrough of the TPMS service menu and subsequently, diagnose a 2007 Toyota Camry with a TPMS issue.
    See link below for the review of other aspects of the Autel MP808TS device: • Autel MaxiPRO MP808TS:...

    great description of functions just wish we could see it in practice as i have a 2010 honda vehicle that does not comm with device so cannot get details to program new sensors haha

      Thanks for watching and the compliment! I used it to relearn a Camry in this video czcams.com/video/Sqel-WQB35Y/video.html though it has direct TPMS.
      I will see if I can pull the service procedure for a 2010 Honda without having a vehicle present. If so, I will post a screenshot in the community tab of the channel and mention you. What model of Honda is this?

    can i relearn or program different brand sensors or does have to be only autel sensors?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před 2 lety

      The tool can relearn 98% of TPMS sensors on the market today, OEM plus aftermarket. It does not have to be Autel sensors.
      However, support for programming sensors is more limited. Autel MX sensors are the main ones supported although there are other brands of TPMS sensors that can be programmed. The manufacturers of the sensors will usually clearly mark the sensor as so. E.g CGSULIT sensors. I have a video on this. czcams.com/video/joAxsv3C_Tw/video.html

    Would this device scan all system on 2013 Sprinter ?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před 3 lety

      It scans all systems on supported vehicles (Panther is supported). So I believe it would.

    Will this TPMS function work on Subarus. They can be a bit of a hassle since they don't have a reset.

      I have checked out a couple Subaru's and can confirm that they are covered by this tool. I looked at coverage on the Legacy, Forester and Impreza.

    Can it activate and program oem TPMS for Subaru ?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes! However, note that for OEM TPMS sensors, only relearning is required (copying sensor ID tags to the TPMS ECU), because the sensor is already programmed to the vehicle.
      Programming refers to copying a vehicle's TPMS specification into a generic programmable sensor. e.g. the Autel MX TPMS generic sensors.

    Is the MP808ts a genuine Autel product? I've contacted Autel UK and they haven't heard of it. Is it imported into the UK? If so would I still be able to update it in the UK?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před 4 lety

      It's 100% genuine. In fact, you need an Autel ID to register the device and download updates. I've already registered mine with Autel and can download updates. I also see on my dashboard that my warranty is active. Maybe this is a product made for the US market? Not sure. I did find it on Amazon UK though so not exactly sure why Autel UK doesn't know of it.

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před 4 lety

      If you let me know the make/model you will be working on, I can use the Function tab to check the TPMS coverage for those vehicles.

      @@DIYAutoworksNG yes I know it's odd that Autel UK haven't heard of it. It's all over 3rd party sellers in the UK to. The woman on the phone at Autel was very aggressive and trying to sell me a tool she had heard of for alot more money so maybe if I got sombody else I would of been in a better situation. Thank you for your time in replying and making the video's 👍

    if you have the mp808 do you really need a tpms diagnostics tool?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před 3 lety

      Yes, you do. The MP808 can read TPMS codes, but because it doesn't have a physical sensor on the tool to trigger tire sensors directly via RFID, it won't read sensor data directly from the tires. This is a prerequisite to relearning/programming TPMS sensors in cars.

    it should work on 5 g or 3 g not wi fi if im out in the field i would have to manually input stuff as there would be no wi fi that could be a big problem

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  Před 3 lety

      Yea it doesn't have a sim card slot. So no mobile network. What I do in the field is to use my phone as a hotspot and then connect the scanner to it. So technically, you should have Internet anywhere there's 3g, 4g or 5g.
