I’ve been waiting for intelligent lesbian conversations that elevate us. The way in which you two effectively communicate, understanding that you each require separate healing. Mentioning the 8 year old version was offended; many women have yet to comprehend the little girl in them must be healed.
I fell in love at 55, met her online, after three months I moved in with her (when you know, you know; I definitely knew she was my special person). We’ve been together for six years and married for five years. I feed the little girl I see in my wife, she asked me how I know about her childhood, my response was, dearest wife, I’m a great listener, plus I love observing you: Fears brought on by things happening during your childhood, being mistreated for the darkness of your skin, and more.
A willingness to open up, revealing your truths although is totally uncomfortable, yet necessary to maintain a healthy relationship in my opinion is a must.
Thank you for this video, keeping a journal then sharing a entry was profound.

As quiet as it’s kept “straight women” who get involved with lesbian women have had the desire to do so before they entered into that relationship. Energy attracts energy. Just because you don’t act on being gay does not make you any less gay. This “straight” woman is by definition a bisexual woman. The desire of her being with another woman attracted them to be together. You are not going to attract what you don’t think about. Lesbian women often times know they are gay like myself before there is any interaction with the same sex. You literally just know, it’s innate, even though we define sexuality by who you have sex with, i think it’s more so on a spiritual level. Who you have sex with doesn’t necessarily determine your sexuality. Who you are to your core and spiritually who you truly desire as well as your true essence determines what your sexuality is.

I had a “late-in-life” discovery of queerness and it wasn’t because I fell in love with a particular person; it was truly a spiritual discovery. I feel like God opened me up and guided me along this journey. It’s challenging to understand why it happened in my late 30s/ and into my early 40s, but such is life:)

I can feel the authenticity in their bond. I would caution people who fall for the same sex to not identify as gay immediately particularly if they have been straight their whole life. You are who you are not who you love. If she was straight then she likely is still straight she just organically fell in love with one woman. She may not be attracted to other woman, just the woman shes with. so in essence she found her person.

But she’s in a gay relationship, so she’s definitely not straight. The label ‘gay’ isn’t a negative thing. If she goes back to men for the rest of her life after this girl then she’s bisexual/queer/whatever… but straight? No. Words have meaning.
Sexuality is fluid and each individual can choose to identify however they want, whether it's straight 5 years ago, gay now or pansexual in the future. You never know what life could throw your way.
