Thanks Jay, I found the need to secure the controller so it doesn’t swing around and designed a 3D printed holder for it, a few other bagged model 3 owner has it too

very cool, also loving the new wheels! does the ring work on 16' model X? i love my X but my 3 is so much more convenient for not having a key. i know the X key fob works similarly to the 3 keycard when the battery dies so i assume the ring would work as well
I am not sure if the ring will work on a Model X, I know the pairing process requires the key card from a Model 3 or Y. But if you have a 3 as well, and if you happen to win, you can give it a try with the X, if it doesnt work, sync it with the 3.

I took off the stock wheel and the brown plug ripped off and all of the film behind the plastic guard all fell out and now I’m ticked thanks bud
I’ve seen someone on Facebook post about them messing that up, maybe you can search around or make a post, someone maybe able to assist you, in my video, no where did I mention anything you do that will mess up that spiral cable system
Would love to know the sizes of the other hex keys you used, i ordered my wheel and it arrives Friday, i got the info on the center 10mm nut but the others i was wondering so i can be prepared :)
The center bolt is 10mm hex but the smaller screws that wholes the buttons are star (torx) and I don’t remember what size they are

Hi Perry, thanks for the video, I received my custom wheel also from Pimp MyEV. And when I say custom, it was one that was not on their website but a design drawing I provided (now I see it available on their website as an option). Unfortunately, I had to wait for Tesla to fix my horn and alignment before I attempted the install as I did not want them to say it was my fault these were not working or off. Now the work has been completed I was getting ready to do the install and have 1 question for you. When you went to reconnect power, which did you re-connect first? The 12v negative or the high voltage power? Thank you again
I am not sure if it matters, I’m sure I’ve done it both ways, but if anything, I would connect low voltage from back seat first since I think that’s the one that gets removed first, so basically reverse order

What is the difference between the "OEM" and "Thick Lifted Sides" steering shape on the PimpMyEV?
Thanks! The lifted has a more edgy looking sides right before the flat bottom, I personally prefers as close as the oem look as possible, round and smooth, but with carbon accent

I am stuck. I pushed through the holes on either side and it seems like I am able to disconnect the airbag unit from the top left and right, but its still stuck in the bottom.
Have any tips? I have re-tried a few times now. Thanks!

Can I ask what size screws were holding in that bottom piece from the wheel that you said we're smaller?. The others are T20 correct?

is this ''thicker'' oem style? looks like it from the photos on their site but u said it was just a normal oem :)
It’s the oem thicker style, at the time they didn’t have the OEM style I think
