I just liked the toothpick guy.

I can imagine this scene being super fun to shoot. Imagine going bowling with John candy.
Tia's reluctance.
Just chilling and having a beer with John Candy would be awesome!
🍻
@@tylertilwick6852Why is that?
I worked on costumes in a play with Toothpick guy (Dennis Cockrum) and he's extremely nice in real life 😅. He brought each of us a bouquet of roses and candy on opening night, and was always super cool to the backstage people.
Buck's friend here is actually pretty important in terms of characterizing Buck himself. We tend to judge people by the company they keep; whereas Pal is a scumbag, E. Roger Coswell comes off as a decent sort, being polite and friendly to Tia and dealing well with her rudeness. I mean, yeah, he's helping Buck make money on a rigged horse race but he's a big contrast to Pal. And you get the sense that "the trashy people Buck hangs out with," as Tia's mom put it, maybe aren't as bad as she thinks.
What's sad here is is the actor who played Rog, was a pretty good guy that ended up getting caught up and depression and ending his life with an overdose.
They're just blue collar urbanites and his brothers family are white collar suburbanites
exactly...
Cindy felt uncomfortable around the people Buck hung around with.
It was a boat race ,and apparently was easy money.
3:17 “I’ll remember it always”….
😂😂😂
Ole Pal looked like someone popped his ass. I’m guessing it had to do with messing with someone’s woman 😂
My favorite scene ❤ buck towering over that creep protecting his family 😊
Buck saved his family, especially Tia from Bug.
right before bringing another creep over to sit next to her.
" You look Firm " Pal is a smooth one
RIP John Candy, and Brian Tarantina.
John Hughes, him as well.
@@Frankie-O Oh yeah, that too. Thanks!
And I think Hatfield (William Windom) was also another one.
@@Frankie-O That as well.
If the winnings Buck could potentially make that would cover him for a year but later he says that it’s “peanuts to your dad” I wonder how much the score was?
John candy was enjoyable to watch. Oh my goodness, he was spectacular as a actor.
The Flintstones (1994) would've been his most spectacular role as Fred.
@@Frankie-O Nah, John Goodman was great as Fred Flintstones.
John Candy was meant to play Fred Flintstone, but passed away before he could.
I think she's genuinely terrified of Pal. She's sarcastic and rude to literally everyone in this movie, except this guy (who is actually the most deserving of being treated badly). She just quietly sits there, hoping he will leave.
He is Mustang Sally from Sopranos (apears just one time)
He was in Donnie Brasco also. The scene where the boss comes and left is telling him who is who.
he says to donnie “well just dont stand there and look dangerous”
@@mikehunt2190 yes, i see this movie some days ago, and take note of this
The elementary school principal actress played as Carmella's mother.
It would be cool to go bowling with Uncle Buck.
@2:07 his face shows terror and scared....after Buck walks up to him
Tia had no sore throat.
Probably explains the black eye and split lip Pal has.
Now I wanna watch the whole movie. This was a tease. His hatchet is so sharp he can circumcise a gnat.
John Candy, tell me, what did you think of the song “Juke Box Baby” by Perry Como (STILL ALIVE)?
Candy: “Oh, I loved it, I love Perry Como, he’s the greatest, he really is. ‘Mr. Relaxation’. OY!!” 🤣🤣🤣
I love their complicated greeting and the way they cackle with laughter over it.
Toothpick Guy played basically the same role in the crappy Uncle Buck TV series but they changed his name from "Pal" to "Skank." Which is ridiculous, "Pal" is so much funnier. We can already tell he was a skank.
I can totally see Pal caught on *To Catch a Predator*
Pal was the same actor who played Terry Malkovich in Shameless.
I just realized that tonight while rewatching the movie. Got to this scene and it suddenly clicked lol. Thought I was the only one to notice.
I can't believe that one guy has Mustang Sally LOL
Uncle Buck is an unofficial Thanksgiving movie.
This scene is so funny between Pal and E. Roger Coswell.
That toothpick creeps me out🤣
Unbelievable, what Pal could do.
Pal and Rog are great 😃👍
Pal? Not to Buck. Rog? Not to Tia.
Pal easily qualifies as the live action version of Quagmire from Family Guy.
Holy crap, is that Terry Milkovich!!!!
Hahaha I never noticed but I'm almost certain pal in Milkovich father from shameless
It’s Dennis Cockrum he plays Terry also. Same trashy role😂😂
Steve Ray Vaughan ladies and gentleman 2:31
We lost him that next year in a helicopter crash in Wisconsin, he got killed.
Lol! I came in here specifically to post this same thing. Dead ringer!
So is the idea with Pal having a black eye here that Buck gave it to him?
Most likely another attempt to pick a girl up that failed miserably.
Bug would be like Henry Hill on GoodFellas; neighborly pistol whipping.
I'll remember it always lol
But won't think of it.
Buck was trying to stop Tia from seeing Bug by forcing her to go to the bowling alley with him and the other two kids. He even threatened to shave Tia's head, while she was asleep because he didn't want his niece seeing Bug.
What a uncle he was.
1:39 This is probably my favorite line from this movie.
I don't know why 'toothpick' title was on the screen for so long. Also I almost didn't recognize Tia on Top Gun Maverick as iceman's wife
0:17 those three aren’t actually drinking their beers the first guy never puts the bottle to his mouth the second guy just closes his lips tight and presses the bottle against them and the third guy puts his thumb over the mouth of his bottle.
Probably cause they had to do that take a few times and didn’t wanna get all drunk.
@@snowbird1381 (In terms of the story) Could be that they don’t wanna impair their motor skills too, seeing as they’re bowling and all
It also screws up the continuity if the bottle's levels fluctuate. That is if indeed there are multiple takes of the scene. i.e. -Just look at the infamous table scene in the original Jaws film. Which features the wine's fluid levels go up & down all throughout the scene! 🤣
Here to check it out after the unashamed podcast with Phil and jase Robertson
If you are from Chicago, then you have met someone like Roger and Jimmy Bean.
Comin' in for the Winter Million at Burlington Park. He says it's a boat race. VERY easy money.
Jukebox Baby playing in the background completes the scene. No other song fits
Only one person could put Terry Milkovich in his place.
Pal had a bronco and so did Chanise.
Mustang Sally
Everybody Needs Somebody To Love - dedicated to Wilson Pickett, by The Blues Brothers.
Cool
🆒️
That’s someone who’s sometimes seen around the buck 😂
Anyone notice the guy in the yellow bowled twice in the same scene? One at 0:05 then at 0:17 .
Maybe he second turn just happened you get two chances to throw the ball if I remember correctly
@@firephoenix3961 Yeah but John is bowling once in the seen while the guy in yellow is bowling twice before and after John gets a strike and yelling.
“I would’ve said get away from me you creep
toothpick guy
Pal (Dennis Cockrum)
17 Oktober 2017
“Maybe if you got married you wouldn’t be such an a hole!”
“Maybe if you stopped drinking Tia you wouldn’t be such a sh$thead!”
Tia can be a cocktail
🍸
Bucks Bowlingball is selling for 22,300us Dollars!!🤔🤑🤑🤐🇦🇹
"I got a cure fo that" Eeeeeeeeeeeeeooooooo they couldn't have picked a more creepy looking dude..split lip, black eye looking like he owns a creepy van to lure victims inside and looks like the last victims father gave him a nice beating..
I remember watching this as a kid back in early 2000s and this dude has ruined the word Bonco to me
That guy with the tooth pick is what I’ve turned into. I’m 52, hang out at the bowling wand try to pick up young girls.
👍
2:02
Pal better turn around.
4:26
Im german palls name is SPEZIE.😏🤔🇦🇹
Young Sheldon copied the bowling scene at 1:35.
My brother looks roger
How come Tia refused to shake Rog's hand?
Pal.....LOL!!!
