Amanda Redman visits her Mother to discuss Amanda's Grandfather. Her Mother gets tearful over some troubling memories.
Amanda Redman is an English actress, perhaps best known for her role as Sandra Pullman in the BBC One series New Tricks. Amanda's father died in 1980, when Amanda was in her mid-teens. She has never felt able to ask her mother about her family's past. The little information she did pick up while growing up was based only on gossip and hearsay. There were rumours of illegitimacy in the family, an abusive grandfather and mysterious uncles.
For this episode of Who Do You Think You Are?, Amanda will go across the country, meeting up with a variety of family members to discover the truth of her mysterious past.

To all you sancatimonious people..she's quit smoking so shut up. I've just watched an interview AR did and she talked about the burns she got at 18 months old. She was in hospital until she was 5 only coming home for Christmas an birthdays!!! Her parents moved her family to be closer to the doctor who treated her. Obviously her mom was a better parent than the parents she had and I give her a lot of credit!!!
