  • On August 21st, 1901 a sudden inrush of moss left several miners trapped underground at Donibristle Colliery, Fife, Scotland.

    a touching presentation. Such brave men, the Fife miners. They faced death daily. What people you Scots! I salute you.

    Nicely done. My great grandfather Alexander Smith was one of the poor guys who were inundated first. It was nice to see the area of the collapse as it is now. Thank you for making this!

    Those notes were heartbreaking; how awful to know that death is imminent, but they all seemed so stoic.

    So poignant, and moving that they had time to make their goodbyes, in the hope they would be found.
