@Harry Fishnutsummmm.... No but some ppl lose their American accent a little bit after a little while. Like this one singer who was was American but sounded kind of Korean after a little while in Korea. Like it's different if they grew up in America and English is their primary language. But if Korean was their first language and they moved back to Korea then sometimes their accent changes. Esp if they don't practice English regularly. Sorry if this doesn't make sense but I'm like half asleep

I'm glad they didn't ask these two questions:
1) Are you planning on making music only in English?
2) Which American artist would you like to collaborate with? Or, what's your favorite American song/singer?
I'M SO TIRED OF HEARING THOSE QUESTIONS IN INTERVIEWS, it's kind of disrespectful to ask these also, because 1: you're insinuating that the music might be good but it needs to be in english for it to be better, and 2: you're changing the topic to american music when the focus should be 100% on korean music for the small time that the interview lasts, if it's a long interview, like an hour long, I don't have a problem with this question, but when it's a few minutes it's like: could you just PLEASE focus on your interviewee(s) and not other people please?

@@sentoo7606 it might not be DISRESPECTFUL, but it certainly shows the interviewer did not do their research when that happens. when it's a longer interview like this, i think it's more helpful for people unfamiliar with k-pop when the questions are well thought out, because then they can learn about k-pop. at the end of the day, some artists aren't looking to have a career in america and they're merely just trying to reach the fans who live in america.
...well seeing as how they are all there on an iPad. He must be brilliant! Or this show has a staff of writers that researched the guest's bio and came up with all of the questions weeks in advance!!
a lot of people seem to think this interviewer was being patronizing but I thought he was very kind and welcoming to her. I think he was just nervous and taking his time so she didn't feel rushed, and it worked cause she said some really meaningful responses.

@@Esqm Interviewers often keep notes in front of them to help remember things and keep the conversation going. He didn't seem unprepared. I do think he seemed nervous though haha. I think he's a fan XD

Douglas has been around for a while so his no noob, but if Chung Ha sat down in front of you wouldn't you be nervous?(you could see the fan in him) He could been told to ask only these questions and that's why he kept looking at his pad.

binceni It’s just a slower paced interview. The way he asks questions is very American, where it’s less about asking a direct question than offering a starting point and letting the person riff off of that, like “Being a pop star is hard work” and you’d say like yeah and talk about your process and the different aspects of work involved.
Chungha’s probably used to Korean interview styles where they ask you what kind of snacks you like and if “the members ever fight” and the interviewer entertains the audience.
I think his one shortcoming is he needed to do more to manage the slow, deliberate pace of the interview. Like maybe more feedback as she’s talking etc

I only looked into the comments to "like" anyone mentioning how great this guy interviewing Chung Ha is. He was respectful, studied up on her back ground, and carried the exchange so naturally. But the top comments seem to be trying to be defending him? What could anyone possibly have to complain about in this interview? I think it was actual perfection. He both appealed to K-Pop fans and was low-key feeding info to people who were only hearing of Chung Ha/K-Pop/Produce 101 for the first time. A+ in my book.

This man was very kind and very sweet. He was speaking a TAD slower so she didn’t feel rushed or panicked, she is fluent yes but it’s harder for her since she isn’t regularly speaking English. My only gripe is that I wish he asked more if produce 101 but there were time constraints so it’s not his fault.
She’s modest, hard-working and never stops improving herself.

Kpop artists are so much more filtered compared to western artists lol. They’re really careful of what they say all the time
yess hahaha bcs i would also feel uncomfortable every time some an interview asks a nonsense question or unrelated to them to the artists likee whyy are you even asking that lol
That’s a part of the media training and artist development they receive as trainees. Admittedly I like my artists to be less filtered and more themselves but I understand why it’s important to be careful of what one says. Kpop is heavily image based and Kpop idols are marketed a certain type of way so even in interviews, they have to maintain that image. Chungha is refined and careful of what she says but we still see her sweet personality. I don’t think much refinement has to be done for her personality as she just seems like genuinely such a sweet person. Now with all this scandal unravelling in the Korean industry, we see that a lot of celebrities images truly are farrrrrr from who they truly are.
Because all the netizens from Korea love to bite the shit out of the celebrities more than you think. I SAY THIS because I'm South Korean.
The actor Lee Jong-suk was criticized because his comment was kinda short when he got the award!
The actress Jin Jong-seo was criticized because she frowned a little bit when the web journalists rushed to take pictures of her in the airport.

No hate to your country, but i dont understand why they call everything a scandal. Dating is dating. People especially kpop idols should be able to find love instead of being attacked. Its crazy how Korean fans are so possessive over their favorite idols. Idols always have to watch what the say, so no one wouldn't bash tf outta them. As an American, our artists are very open and if they feel that something isn't right, they say whatever they say. Fans don't attack them for unnecessary things. Idols can't even stand beside other idols and speak to them because of how koreans fans feel. Sometimes they have to think about themselves instead of other people

This interview was so great! The interviewer asked some really great, insightful questions that showed he did his research about Chungha and not just generic questions. He spoke clearly and in a friendly tone. Hope to see more kpop interviews from this channel! I really enjoyed this one. Chungha ❤️❤️❤️
