      @@FullThrottleFreedomChannel Installed mine today and so my only gripe is that it feels as though Harmon Kardon have basically whored out their name to SENA LOL as these speakers are just a slight upgrade over my SENA S20's

      @@joshf4354 Yeah totally… I got the Senas solely because that’s what all my riding buddies have, but I’ve heard the JBL in Cardo is quite a bit better.

    Hello! Thank you for the video! Helped a lot to get started. I have a 1200 myself (and my gf has the 1400) and found that the cheek pad construction on it is in the way of the adhesive mounting plate. I slowed through your set up of your wife's and saw you struggled getting the two hex screws on over the grey mesh part of the helmet. So did I, and by forcing it I ended up snapping the inner foam mould, near the ear/cheek. I also noticed you didn't get full contact with the sticky tape because of the same issues. Mine came off almost half way after the first ride.
    The solution? Mounting it under the visor latch, but that's cumbersome for obvious reasons.
    In contrast the 1400 was designed with more of these intercom mounting locations considered. The inner liner is in two pieces which allows for better cable routing and the visor latch is centred so the unit doesn't get in the way.
    Let me know how it went with your wife's RF-1200.

      I struggled with the 1200 a little bit on the install (as you mentioned), but once I got it on the helmet, I didn’t have any problems after that

    I had the same issue as a comment above with ear pain after installing on the foam ear cover piece. So i just installed it into the speaker cutout as intended, but my helmet is WAY louder with wind noise. Did you ever experience and/or resolve that?

    • @FullThrottleFreedomChannel
      @FullThrottleFreedomChannel  Před rokem

      I didn’t notice any extra wind noise in my helmet, but I always ride with earplugs.
      I don’t think there’s much you can do besides closing some vents or putting in earplugs.

    Do the speakers hurt your ears after a while on the RF-SR? I originally installed the speakers on top of the original foam ear pads but the speakers would jut into my ear making it super painful. I've since removed the foam and just stuck the speakers directly onto the recessed area underneath the foam but it still sticks out too far for comfort, not to mention folding my ears when I put on my helmet.

    • @FullThrottleFreedomChannel
      @FullThrottleFreedomChannel  Před rokem

      Yeah, I did the exact same thing as you. Originally installed the speakers on top of the foam, but it was too uncomfortable. Once I took out the foam though, I didn't have any more problems.
      To me, the RF-SR was already a pretty snug fitting helmet around the ears even before installing a SENA, so I can see why the speakers could make it worse for you.

      @@FullThrottleFreedomChannel Yep 100%, I think my head is already at a perfect fit for the RF-SR Medium size so there is really no room to spare
