- Wizz Air is a European low-cost carrier based out of Budapest, Hungary with operations rapidly expanding across the region and even as far away as Abu Dhabi in the UAE. Founded in 2003, the airline has grown to become one of Europe’s leading low-cost carriers. With two-hour-long flights going for as little as $21 each way, how is the airline able to offer fares at such low cost? Let’s find out.

Ngl i fly wizz air 4-6 times a year and they dont dissapoint. Seats are actually fine an comfy. Great price and i havent had a delay with them yet after about 6 years
So true, I fly on them arround ten times a year, they seriously are a good airline
Everything good if ur -170cm
My college at 185 got a middle seat and I did him a favour and switched a seat with him. I could bearly fit and I'm 173cm. The angle of the seat felt like it was 90°. It was a 2.5 hour flight so it was not a big problem, but I wouldn't fly with them for like 5h.
Matej Kebe I’m 194cm, would I fit?
@@s.tefannilsson Probably
i think wizz air has very good value for its price. i have flown with them many times and will be flying with them again in 5 days
Update 20/6/20: flight was great, no delays and very good service.
What route will you fly I am in 5 days too

Simple flying: Why is Wizz Air so cheap?
Me: Did you just say cheap. I am on my way.
🤣
Joe the Vlogger Don’t, just don’t. Thank me later....
I had like 15 fights between September 2019 and March 2020 and it was greate. Never delayed. Super
Wtf
Never delayed is really a great luck because it depends largely on other factors than the airline. You are damn lucky!
Hope you won all of your fights
I flew by wizzair 4 times and every fly was so good and I was happy...I hope I will fly soon from Georgia, Kutaisi...see you!
THIS is practically my airline,I’ve flown on it ever year since I was 3 months and it got me in aviation 💖
same
any airline might get someone into aviation though? Unless they're super bad..
I am in too now 😜
I‘m hungarian and I normally(when there is no pandemic😅) fly with Wizzair every month. Once I bought a ticket from Budapest to Germany for 10€ and to be honest it is great. I bring my own food& a bottle to take water in the terminal. If I take a small suitcase I have to buy the priority but it is still much cheaper than other airlines. The departure times often aren’t friendly (6 in the morning) but it is still worth it for me☺️
Johanna Lieb You must be “small”. I am 5’8” and was in real pain Belgrad to London.
David Webb yeah I am ~ 5‘3“ so the legroom is just fine for me😕
Johanna Lieb I watched your videos. Such a happy, smiley face you have 😁
Ugh, you should travel by bus. No need for bottle carrying people at the airports
Stefan Wyatt Music Earlier I used to buy water at the airport but I switched cuz I fly quite a lot and I don‘t think 1€ for a bit of water is worth it, especially that I like to protect the environment as much as I can so this solution is just perfect for me😊
Wizz air , our Hungarian friends. Great airline 👍
I’ve flown with WizzAir A321 NEO once. It was so quiet that I didn’t know we had landed (it was a night flight). Also I found the seats actually more comfortable than Ryanair despite their shorter seat pitch. I’m 183cm, and honestly never had any problem with airplane seats.
Very good information for first time "budget " flyers. I recall being very annoyed when I had to pay to select a seat on a flight, then I spotted the little (i) next to the price that contained a full explanation of how pricing works. You only pay for what you want. This explanation was all I needed to understand why the extra cost. So I think a video like this would have prepared me in advance. All I ask of "budget" airlines is have an economy seat from the aircraft at the gate so I can measure my "arse" in the seat like you can with you carry on baggage so I know what I'm in for before I get on. Great video, thanks
No word on salaries or working or training conditions of staff? Nobody asks either?
They did get a slap on the wrist and nearly got their arm broken.
They sacked a unionized cabin crew and they got taken to court and was forced to re-hire the sacked.
I'm traveling, not paying wages or attending union meetings...
Marpagapa L why did you click on the video then ?
@@VCRider curiosity.
@@marpagapal3312 Travelling automatically implies paying the staff's wages.
I usually fly wizz 2 times a week (commuting for work) and they never disappoint. The planes are comfy and new, no delays. I really can't complain about wizz.
Wizz air is the best. They are going to have a base in Gatwick and 3 destinations are in my country ( slovakia) I'm flying wizz air in 6 days. Please make more videos about this airline. Wizz air is totally worth it.
I only flown with WizzAir in my life, i like it, never had any bad experience. And i fly with WizzAir every year at least once (from Budapest to Brussels and back).
Nice Video!
I flew with them on their A320ceo from Luton to Porto in the peak of the pandemic, legendary airline taking lots of steps to keep customers safe. Their seat pitch did not feel like 28” either..
Had an excellent flight with Wizz air from Liverpool to Varna and back (W64531 and W64532). Amazing crew however slightly uncomfortable seat.
When I flew from Stansted to Wroclaw, the crew were very surprised that they had a British person on board. The crews reactions to me not understanding Polish and speaking In English was priceless.

i have flown on wizz air and it was amazing!
I flew on Wizz many times ; and I will fly with them again soon , it’s a great airline !
Believe it or not Wizzair is among the very few companies that will get out from this crisis almost unscathed because financially are well grounded with lots of reserves. So I guess the management did something right. Otherwise they are a pain in the but, but that's not a surprise, fly them only if you have to !
I mean the company must be loaded , they do have the most plane orders of any European airline, they also chattered their flights for repatriation flights and special safety equipment transport flights to and from China, must've earned a lot doing those too!
I as well travelled often with WIZZ Air and found it enjoyable. Most of the time brand new Aircraft, very clean and comfortable seats (at least for the 1,5 - 2,5 h flights I've been on). I must say I mostly travel with a backpack, that's why the flights were/are very cheap (e.g. NUE/DTM/FMM - OTP for 4,99€-19,99€/oneway). So yeah, Wizz ist my actual favorite airline. :)
I was going to fly WizzAir last month before the whole coronavirus happened. Still hope to fly them one day! Their cabin looks better than RyanAir but ads always look better than the real deal hahah
Flown many times the crew always go above and beyond for you the leg room is better than ryanair even though the seat pitch is less.
I nearly always fly with them and they are superb. I would rather fly with them than I would any other airline. Top class staff and experience :)
WizzAir is so fun to go on. And cheap too, even when you do last minute!
Having a very uniform fleet has its disadvantages too, depending on luck of the draw. Norwegian Air is one which was unfortunate enough to have a fleet that was involved with issues twice.
I flew Wizz once (Twice if you count the trip to go and come as separate) between SDR and Warsaw and I completely hated the seats, although the crew was amazing! Quite a bittersweet feeling, but taking into account I am 1'82 meters (5ft 11,65in), the seat was too small. I had to seat in the aisle and sideways (with my nearset leg in the aisle) in order to fit inside that pitch. Also, the tray table was too small. Although the crew was amazing, I don't think I would fly them again unless I need it.
When I was really young (around 5) I gained a fear of flight from ryanair. Only yesterday did WizzAir manage to beat my fear of flying. The take-off wasn't as hard as Ryanair, and the landings don't disappoint. Infact, the flight had turbolence, but the pilots dealt with it really well.
You're a weirdo. No offense
@@AviationSimulation true
i would say that your fear is very irrational but hey everyone has their own fears.. but no need to be worried of ryanair.. they've barely ever crashed their planes
Its the best value airlines for price and time!❤
Always 👌🏻 last year i had maybe 15 flights with wizzair, this year 8 already !👌🏻💚
I love flying. Thought that Wizz Air is my only chance to fly again. I haven't flown for ten years or so. Not all Wizz Air flights are cheep... Recently we considered flying by Wizz Air from Belgrade to Memmingen. But the price of 800 € for return tickets for two adults and two children age 2 to 12 was out of our reach. And that is without any luggage, of course. We will travel by our car instead.
WizZ✈️❤️
Best airline 😍
I flew them from Luton to Krakow last summer. They're like any other budget carrier. So basically you have to pay for a carry on (or pay to check like at almost every other airline) and you don't get the world's tiniest bag of pretzels with your ticket. And I guess the seat pitch was low but I don't remember since the flight wasn't full. For the price whatever sacrifices I made were worth it. I wish the American airline market was as competitive as Europe's. I mean that ticket (even including bag fees) was probably a third of what you'd pay in the US for the same distance.
Their pretty good tbh, have never been delayed and its so basic that it cuts out all the silly bits.
I only take a carry on, so for me it's amazing
I have always flown easyJet, but now that they opened a new base in MXP I'll certainly fly with them!
I wish them all the best, simply love their routes and prices specially they are connecting Europe with Middle East
Yeah, I fly with them a few times a year. They are the only solution a lot of people in our country can afford. Quality is acceptable and I am OK with the trade off they offer for the lower price.
Very good priceing, and good catering from a low cost carrier.
In my experience the Wizz Air has a lot more space between the seats than the Ryanair- probably the front seats take an extra in the Ryanair, which you didn't take into account. Therefore, I prefer to fly Wizz Air rather than a Ryanair, because of better comfort as well as more professional staff.
i have fllied with wiwz air 6 times. the flights are always awesome wizz air is is my favorite airline :D
i flew them on NYO-WAW and they are good tho i miss when they flew to Lublin Airport
Yeah, it was very nice and useful when they fly to Lublin Airport
I've never paid more than 40 bucks for a ticket, I usually catch them for 10 a pop with Wizz. For that price I'd even tank a punch from the flight attendants.
I flew with Wizz Air many Times and this airlines is realy Nice
I have flown with Wizz Air a lot of times. It always worth the price of the ticket.
I flew non stop from TLV to LTN on a newish Airbus A320. The seat was terribly uncomfortable, it felt like sitting on one of those plastic garden chairs with a thin layer on top. It was a 5 hour flight, but the cost was under £50 and so for that price I was willing to put up with it.
Overall, I think Wizzair are good and I prefer them to Ryanair, about on a par with Easyjet. British Airways similar aircraft have much more comfortable seats, but the prices are about 30% higher in most cases.
The only positive thing about Wizz Air (apart from being so cheap) is most flights are on time almost no delays. If you have been on some low-cost Asian carriers you can expect at least half an hour delay (usually much more)
I live in Hungary, my teacher's brother is a chief pilot at Wizz, and we know each other. AND AT 1:13 THAT IS HIM!! But I really think Malev (former traditional airline of Hungary) was in some ways
better...And my answer is that it is pretty worth it, the flight crew is nice, but yes, the seat could be bigger. I have flown with them several times, basically, taking everything into account, it is very OK from a European perspective.
Sad to see that the virgin 747 falcon retired today 👍🏼😭
Always flying either wizz or ryanair, always love flying with both
I've flown then to Bulgaria and Ukraine and quite like them
The return flight from Ukraine got cancelled about two weeks before the flight and I got rebooked to a different destination which was a bit inconvenient. Considering the fare they offer great service though and aren't as obnoxious as Ryanair can be with their scratch cards and some other bs
Wizzair feels more like a traditional airline
i have flown on wizz air a couple times when i went to sweden very good very comfortable seats
I flown with them 7 times, good airline
nice, seems good
Especially for short people
You should do video, about Why are airlines in US much more expensive than in Europe. *(It's so expensive, that from San Francisco It's often cheaper to Europe, than to US east coast.)*
The official airline of Eastern Europe. They're professional, fly clean (and surprisingly comfy) planes with very nice and attentive crew, and they have a great "members club" worth every penny. Wouldn't have flown to some of the more unconventional places like Skopje if it wasn't for them; worth the price all the way.
I have flown with them 16 times and I have only positive experiences. The prices are very affordable.
I flew with them 30 times . They’re the best . 30€ for return ticket. Genius !
Honestly if u are over 185cm tall dont fly with them unless you buy extra legroom seat. Flew with them on a regular seat and it was living hell (im 190). Not worth it for me
I'm 195 cm tall and didn't notice any difference at all, interesting...
Same, flew with both Ryanair and wizzair and never noticed the difference, im 187cm tall
@@jakubb2132 probably the design and thickness of the seats play an important role. The Ukrainian carrier SkyUp has 28" pitch, same as Wizz, but thin and curvy Acro Series 3 seats with the spine make the actual leg space much larger than that of Wizz
Evgeny Zhytnyuk Maybe it was a20n that you flew? Or there might be diffrences between their older and newer a320’s
I flew from Turku to budabest i'm 179cm tall, was pretty horrible airline, bad seats, bad service, bad airports. I'll keep flying with finnair
Wizz air is like... the best airline i can say
I was flying often with WizzAir from Holland to Czech Republic for 10€. Now I am flying often from Athens to Czech Republic for about 20 - 30 €, which is rediculously cheap. I am so so happy with the company, never had a problem, delay, nothing. Ok, you don´t have so much space for your legs, you don´t have complimentary food or drinks, but you can travel wherever you want on a good budget :) Thank God they are existing, they helped to me so much also because they were one of the first companies which started to fly again during the pandemic! Thumbs up for them!
Flown Wizz Air many times - never flown better, good prices, and good time-keeping as well. There was some adverse publicity about ten years ago - probably funded by the competition! One very unpleasant thing though - extra costs if you haven't printed out your boarding pass at home, didn't like that, because we weren't told.
Love Wizz Air. Amazing young and helpful Cabin Crew, new aircrafts.
i dont know why but i realised that I only flown Wizzair and ryanair
I am 1,94m, I have trouble fitting on 30” pitch so Wizzair probably won’t even allow me on board.
I'm 186 cm, they have some extra legroom rows such as at emergency exits and in the first row. You may foind your comfortable seat sor some extra fee ;-)
I am the same tall and always buy tickets to the emergency exit seats since there is a lot of leg space. But it comes at a price.
Radd Barr it does come at a premium. For short haul flights I tend to bite the bullet and just pay a little bit extra for an isle seat but long haul, premium economy is the way to go, bit more of a hefty cost but at least I won’t have to put my knees in to the seat backs of the seats in front of my neighbors. I did get an upgrade once because they put me on a middle seat and my neighbors were complaining I was in their space. When the purser came, he had no other choice than to relocate me to the empty business class out front :-)
Flew with them, for me it was better then Ryanair, but the best budget airline I flew so far was a NokAir in Thailand, flew with like 6 time and it was perfect everytime.
I am 6'1 and leg rooms is ok. Sure my knees touch the seat in front of me slightly, but if I angle them slightly it's fine.
Happy with the flight :)
Planning a trip to Athens with WhizzAir going to be epic!
Wizz Air is one from my favorite airlines
Me and my family are thinking to visit Dubai next summer and they asked me to check the flight prices and while I’m checking i saw wizz air for all of us 188 kd only!! 620 dollars!! Woah we always book Kuwait airways or emirates and they coasts like 1,620 dollars for all of us!!

Simply flying: “Only pay for what you need”
Me: “LIBERTY. LIBERTY. LIBER-TY. LIBER-TY.”
If one doesn’t care about minimum comfort when traveling, Ryanair and Wizz are ideal. Of course what is not included in this video is how they tread staff for example.
I flown wizz air since 2010 alot between budapest and london
I have flown Wizz to Vilnius and Gdansk from Denmark. In my opinion, they are better than Ryanair. Planes are clean and new, staff is friendlier than at Ryanair and Wizz is on time. You get a seat with a magazine and a pocket for it. So I would pick out the Wizz Air option, if there was a free choice between Wizz and Ryanair. However, expect transportation, not a luxury experience of a lifetime.
online check in when it open and boarding pas also ?

No mention of terms and conditions of cabin and air crew. "a first officer prior to the current crisis earned a base salary of €21,000 ($24,816), now they earn €15,750 ($18,612)". Not forgetting these junior pilots are still paying off the debt of flight training that cost them over 150,000 Euros then type rating 25,000 Euros. Of course these are tough times for all but it's no wonder personal financial stress has an effect on operational efficiency and safety of all the low cost carriers.
They are not always cheap though sadly. They can be four times more expensive than BA on some routes depending on the time of year. But otherwise great airline and the greenest fleet
I flew with them last year from London to St Petersburg, only £38 for return!
My first and last time for this airline. They charge about extra $75 just because we do not do online check in a head of time. We are almost paying double the price of it air tickets just to do airport check in. Do online check in ahead if you do not have check in luggage.
Aha flying with them on Saturday ✈✈ they're not the cheapest low cost airline but love the livery, employees and their routes. Btw they do have the a320 and a321 as my plane was changed to an a321 instead of the original a320.
yes bro infact they have more a321s than a320s
I payed £200 with Wizz for a trip from the UK to Poland, last minute booking a couple days before New Years, kinda understandable due to circumstances.
Overall it wasn't too bad, just like any other low cost carrier, it got me from A to B, without luxury. Cant expect much more from a low cost carrier.

I am rather fond on my comfort and usually try to avoid LCC. However, Wizzair is a whole other category. The ride is just plain shit, but for €40 round way to Poland is just a steal. Although thorough planning on airport accessibility is required.
it’s not exactly a single-type fleet, they have a mix of A320 and A321s and newer NEO variants
True but it doesn't really matter, since an A320 pilot can fly an A321NEO without any additional training.
It's a matter of expectation. If you expect first class service, this is not your airline. I have never got any issue with Wizzair. I am always excited to fly no matter where.
