I have been getting lots of cookies and candy all with 1/24 dates on them some every day. Also i got an entire displaay of bath sets and over 300 tubes of toothpaste in date and mostly crest and colgate, and lots of christmas stuff.

Those furniture covers are great if you live in a humid area as they keep the moss from growing on the soft bits. Also good for snowy climates. Nice find

Heey, you guys suddenly dissapeared from my feed! I'm from Argentina, sadly the markets don't throw away much and it's kinda forbidden to dive. We (the argentinians) do it anyways. But mostly things people throw away, not that much of name brand stores. I am an artist so i collect anything that i find usefull. I have a neighbour that has a wood workshop and i go by sometimes to catch some cuts of wood. Also magazines, books, pieces of wood in general. tin cans, plastic bottles sometimes (depends on the project). Paper if it's nice. I have the eye if i go to another city. Mostly things that people take as garbage (I tend to reuse to make my art). Some stores throw away food but it's not something that i need, and where I live there is a lot of poverty, so i know people will check the dumpsters and it's not going to waste. But it's not often. The "dumpster diving" in Argentina we use to call it "cirujear". I try to always take a bag with me but now that it's pretty hot (hello summer), i like to go out with the bare minimum. Hehe.

You know what is sad, if you gave that cut up sweater to the needy the would thanks you from the bottom of their heart but no they had to be destroyed and thrown away. Fyi in 2016 France "The Food Waste Bill" requiring supermarkets to donate to charities edible food products if they can do it why can't we? I hope you have a wonderful and safe holidays. 😊
There should be something done about that because supermarkets and a lot of retail stores get rid of a lot of goods. That stuff just ends up at the landfill on a massive level. I know there are some stores that do donate so much and we have seen that but others need to do so as well. Thank you and you too.
In the Netherlands, they take closed down, or abandoned buildings and they allow people to pay a fee, I guess its a little different than paying rent, and live in buildings. Such as abandoned schoolhouses, fire departments, abandoned offices and so forth. Until that building is sold or remodeled to be used as a business again. The theory in this is to reduce homelessness, prevent squatting, helps keep the building from deteriorating from weather and decay or from being vandalized, and it helps the people out until they get on there feet again. Which reduces drug abuse and mental illness as well. So my ? Is why can't we do something like that in CA. That also means How come can't our stores donate unused food, and clothing there going to throw away anyway. I would think the stores are able to list the donations items when doing taxes. Is it they get more back by writing it down as being thrown away then when items are donated and repurposed. I love these shows great channel.
I'm sure the dog food may be better than they are finding on their own even their owners. It's getting worse out here.
You are totally correct on finding things you talk about or even just thinking about . I noticed that myself probably 30 ears ago and I was telling a friend that story a he didn't believe me so I said to him tell me something that you want and I will bet you I will find it in a dumpster within 2 weeks. So he bet me a 12 pk of beer. I agreed and asked him what he wanted me to find? Just then his wife said a toilet seat I was like come on in all the years I've dumpster dived I hadn't remembered even seeing one but I agreed. Now just so you know it was around midnight awe were at this cabinet shop finishing a job. And I was going home and decided to check out dumpster of the building next door and I'm sure you guessed it I found a brand new still in the Box solid oak toilet seat which I took straight back to shop and gave it to them. He couldn't believe it. I have tested this theory many more times with other people so I know its true and not just something my mind playing tricks because it really has and does happen a lot. I sell online and 90%of my packing and shipping supplies come from dumpsters. I save a lot of $$ doing this.

Store cut that stuff up so people can't try to return it for cash. Which only makes sense because the store owner is to lazy to drop it off at a donation center or has the mentality that if they can't sell it nobody can.
We have met people that do that and we tell them not to. We would be happy knowing they are donated and not thrown away. There are so many places that can take donations instead of just going straight to the landfill.
