Good touching of ball. Class. What a different play from today where money is the end...

    dan,
Thanks for this entertaining game at Upton Park. Good analysis from Jimmy Hill as always. Good play from Alan Ball for Arsenal and good goalkeeping from Bob Wilson.

...all too apparent that the great Bobby Moore was in decline when viewing the game; mentally not tuned in, behind the play, not making any serious challenges; a passenger. sad.

..his blunders 73/74 cost us dear in trying to qualify for the 74 world cup in Germany, becoming slow and ponderous.
he should have hung his boots up in 1972 and spared us a lot of heart ache; sadly he was living on past glories.

    I can't believe Arsenal didn't win 7-0 to give themselves a chance.

...for west ham, never heard of Lutton; Seems like he played only 62 games during 7 seasons for 3 diff. clubs. injury prone.

How can anyone take a pundit with a beard like Jimmy Hill seriously?

...never a goal for brooking; easily stopped a foot in front of the line; but then rice clearly kicked it over for an obvious own goal.

Jimmy's right to congratulate the Hammers players for dealing with the terrible Gunners fouls by not rolling about and getting up and on with the game! They were pushed out of their stride and promising parts of their play were broken down and Arsenal players never received any yellow cards; oh yeh, they lost 2-1!

Usual anti-Arsenal crap from Jimmy Hill. Alan Ball and that Arsenal team were miles better than West Ham who were nothing better than a long ball pub team..
