  • Last month in Scotland more than 125,000 people were admitted to A&E with more than 40% not seen within four hours.
    Lung cancer patient, Noreen Craig, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after becoming ill with a chest infection, but she died before she even made it on to a ward.
    Her son Stuart Craig said that 'animals would have been treated better' than his mother was.
    Sky's Connor Gillies reports from Scotland.

      I don't. I would accept my pay as part of the job I've chosen. Fair pay or not, I'd find it unethical to hold lives to ransom to increase my wage packet. People will die on those strike says who would not had the strikes not been on. I wouldn't want those lives on my conscience.

    It's not just Scotland ..the situation here in Wales is abysmal...our largest H/A cant account for the sum of 122 million that has 'gone missing' ...!!!and to date ...regarding this there has been no response from our Saviour and Saint Mark of Wales...loosely termed 1st Minister..and our again loosely termed Health Minister 'the Baroness Morgan' who until recently had apparently gone AWOL because we were wonderi g if we had a Health Minister...however,she popped up this week to say that the people of Wales should protect our NHS (the one that isnt here for us anymore!!) and that we should take more exercise,eat sensibly,dont smoke,be careful with the demon alcohol etc etc and be more responsible for our health ..again like her boss Drakeford..keeping schtum about the missing 122 million...meanwhile the nurses /ambulance personnel will continue with their strike action again next week. ..welcome to la la land.😟😟😟

      The NHS was broke before the "pandemic" hospitals cut back or stopped practically everything other than "covid" patients. Then they made it worse because they tested all patients every few hours or every day who knows so in a hospital who have hundreds of patients probably half or more tested positive...even though they never had it. Staff were also faced with fear from MSM and because they work in a environment where all we heard was people were dieing from this virus and nothing else. They too were hiding out the way...not wanting to get involved...incase they brought it home...so they got tested all the time... again testing positive using a test that cannot be used for diagnosis!!!
      And even still today because the hospitals are backlog and over run now with patients suffering from all kinds of illnesses and....death staff are burnout..and hiding away at times when they get a sniffle....they are off with convid!!!

  • @lewisbale1

      There is no incentive for people to study nursing. University fees are expensive and working as a nurse pays little.

    • @grey_wind948
      @grey_wind948 Před rokem +1

      The reason there is even less staff now is because when they have a cold...they test positive and are call in sick. Some don't even have to have a cold if they aren't feeling up to going in they probably just say I've tested positive and I'm not feeling well....new normal!!! And agency staff are earning more than nhs employed staff so they can pick and choose when and where they want to work!!!!

    • @grey_wind948
      @grey_wind948 Před rokem +1

      @@TheSuperPsychoKiller no it doesn't pay little! The fact is no one wants to do hands on care when they become a staff nurse or a higher position!! It's left to clinical support workers! Which if is lucky if there is two or three in a ward full of patients. Short as well because those that don't doing hands on care all time leave...but miss the money and go work for agency!!! Earning way way more a hour and pick and choose when they want to work!!! Fact!!!

    • @grey_wind948
      @grey_wind948 Před rokem

      The fact is there are more nurses working for agency companies now. The reason more and more are leaving nhs employment contract and working for a agency is the fact...and it is a fact...the agency pays way way more a hour some up to £60 a hour depending on qualification that works out at £700 roughly before tax for a 12 hour shift And they can pick and choose when to work at that rate of one or two shifts a week!!! The system is broken!!!

    The reason ambulance response times are so bad is because certain cultures/ethnicities/social classes/new arrivals within our society have not been educated on how to correctly use the service.
