Back in the 80s I was a great skater.
White boots, white all American plus wheels, a jump bar and had plugs instead of stoppers.
When I used to skate in the 90's Pacer was the bomb skates and wheels! lol Are they even still are around or any good?
Do the sure grip flames work well for indoor artistic skating on smooth gym floor?
i had a pair and they’re good for indoor as long as you buy them with the indoor wheels. fair warning! the heel on my boots started to rip. It’s probably mostly because of the way i used to take them off (don’t pull from the top of the boot or it’ll rip!) . besides that they’re great
Quick question, so the skates size is the same size as a general shoe size? Example, I wear 8.5 men's, does that mean I would get an 8 for the skates?
Depends on if you want it to feel tighter or looser. So I’m a 10.5 but my skates are a 10 because they are made out of leather and the leather stretches when it heats up like when you’re skating. So it just depends
I've been skating on the sure grip sonic for almost a year now. Love the skates but the eyelets are pulling out. I've been staking hard on them 3 times a week for almost a year now. I want to buy my "last" pair of skates that the eyelets won't fall out. What do you recommend?
I’ve heard the candi girl skates are a good affordable option, and if you can splurge, moxi. I mean, never tried either, so do ur research lol.

@@allabouthim03 I think they have men’s too, the girl part is just the brand name. And I mean, no one would really care all that much anyway if they’re not like- idk, bright pink or whatever if that’s not what you want.
@@idk-just-tea If they have men skates I surely can't find them anywhere. Candy girl and the other women's models are made by Reidell, so to the best of my knowledge the only option for men are the standard black or white Riedell skates. Of course people can wear what they want to.
@@allabouthim03 definitely recommend riedell. I’ve had my OG(172 boot) for going on 8 years now. I’m gonna switch over to either the 220 boot or 297 boot with a different setup and keep my OGs as backup.

What do you think about the Pacer line? I bought Pacer Grl high tops they have good reviews but not sure from actual skaters
I would watch some other reviews on youtube for them. Most that I have seen say not to get them though

Man I got a big wide foot. Everywhere I go, they either don't have my size or they are way to pricey for me. I wear a 13.5 wide in shoes so I'm thinking a 14 in skates.
No in skates you go a size down. They’re supposed to be tight with a little space for your toes. So you don’t get blisters
Depends on the skate. Leather will stretch out once they’re broken in

where can a male order skates. I'm 61, 5'7, 165, skated years ago but in the last few weeks gone skating 2 times and i'm ready to purchase my own so I can get accustomed to a pair. I want a boot with support and want to spend less than say 150 to 200 tops. Thanks.
Sorry for the really late reply but I would say you get what you pay but anything high top should do the trick
@@iamsimongates THanks for the reply...i ordered a pair of skates from ebay...size 10, high top leather...went to my local rink and they ordered bearings and wheels and toe stops...i bought bearing off the shold but my axles were smaller so they had to order them. I'm excited to get them up and going.

yes pretty sure all roller skate wheels are change able

No all skates will fit snug until you stretch them out cause they are made out of leather. Also depends on the brand some brands run big like for an example Nike and Addis’s in shoes don’t always fit the same even if it’s the same size
i wear a size 16/15 i’m having a hard time finding skates 🥺

Lmao 🤣 white is made in women sizes and black is made in men sizes. You can wear either but you have to convert sizes for opposite genders.
