- Check out this 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top Street Cruiser I found at the 2019 Goodguys PPG Nationals in Columbus Ohio....These 61 Bubble Tops are some of the coolest cars to ever roll out of Detroit.. They are a car that looks like it is going 100 mph while setting still...This 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top from the 2019 Goodguys PPG Nationals has that look nailed!!...Stance is everything and this 61 Impala is laying on the ground...Just how I like them....Wheels are always a personal choice and I'm good with the wheels they chose to run on the 1961 Impala...This 1961 Chevy looks like it was dipped in silver paint and was almost blinding in the Columbus Ohio sunshine...The interior is custom but not over the top...But more like a upgrade that would have come from Chevrolet back in the day and it's...RED!!...All red....And against that silver paint it just POPPED!!...Exactly what this build needed...Under the hood was some more red accents and some light custom work....Also a 348 V8....The chrome has been finished to a very high level and just sparkled in the Columbus Oh sunshine..This 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top Street Cruiser from the 2019 Goodguys PPG Nationals caught my attention and I am sure you are going to love it like I did.....Check it out!!!

I was lucky enough to get to Deuce Days in Victoria BC this year. Living in Ireland we dont get a chance to see these cool old American cars very often. Was an amazing experience that will live with me the rest of my life.

Can't beat a 61, 348/409, 4 speed, rear seat speaker, and the crowning touch is the original (one year) steering wheel! The silver and red is classy. All around timeless build.

Scottie, I love these cars same as you do. I love how the red was carried onto the engine. There’s nothing I don’t like about this car. She’s gorgeous. A friend of mine has a black ‘62 Bubble Top Impala. I think his has the 409 in it. Regardless Chevy/GM made something special with these cars.

Bubble Tops are my favorite.... The silver and red wear well. The chrome is Gorgeous. The 348 tri power is old Gm motor w/3 carbs on it. Wheels n tires nice choice. Love these bubble top Impala's, Awsome. Thanks so much Scottie for showing this!!!

I've owned a few Impalas (a couple of 63's and a 66). Before I bought my first one in the early 90's I had an opportunity to buy a super clean restored 1961 that was red on red for $7,500. I hate that Roman red, but I never considered that silver paint with red interior would work so well together.

That was nothing but nice. The valve covers was cool never had seen anything like that before. The only thing that I've would have done different was raise the car up a few inches. But that's just me. Really like that car.🏆👏👏👏👏🏆😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎

Technically it is a custom interior because they didn't have bucket seats in 1961, but they actually used the period correct 1961 fabric for the custom seats - so it's a hybrid of new and old, like the rest of the car is 1:29

Had one, blue, blue interior, 348, carter 4bbl carb. went thru 3 power-glides before switched it out to a stick, then blew the rear end and changed to a 4:11 single track. could burn rubber for a block.

My twin cousin's both had that year impala both were a stock tan color one was a darker tan than the other one. They put supreme wheels with 5/20's white wall tires on it back in 1980's. At that time they bought them used for not that much that I recall because they were not wealthy as young adults. One of the twins must have had every year of the 60s impala at one time or another.
This guy from Sacramento was selling a 1968 caprice for $800.00 buck's me and my cousin was checking it out it was way to clean for him to be asking 800 bucks I backed out of buying it. My cousin bought it he had the pink slip and everything. Months later the police impounded the car and said it was a stolen car he had it regastard and everything in his name. Never found out how that came about just glad I backed out of buying it. When it seems to good to be true maybe it's not true. I was 19 year's old that was a lot of money but not to where it would have been a huge loss. Oh my cousin even lost his sterio system that he put in the car I remember him complaining about that.
