Writing things down is my favorite advice. Either digitally or in paper (I prefer paper). It always clears your head and makes it easier to focus.

Such an underestimated way of just thinking things through!

Whenever I work outside, the productivity "seems to be improved". But in reality, they're just myself pretending to be good at something and not lazy. It works if I don't have to think too much, but if I have to think as much as how I work on my game project, it's not gonna work if I have to go outside. I'd say as long as you work for 5 minutes everyday, maybe have weekend to rest. You're doing fine. Keeping momentum is more important than trying to be productive. Some days you might not want to work, so just look around and maybe take some notes. Some days you might want to work a bit more, then don't limite yourselves since the lazy days will come anyway. My advice to improve productivity is to take good care of your health, both mental and body. I know it's hard to have good mental health, but at least you should stop stabbing yourselves with your thoughts first. For body, if you're as poor as me, then just find some cheap herbal tea to drink instead of instant coffee.

Absolutely loved this video! One thing that helps me stay productive is if i know how long a task will take i divide it into sections with breaks in between so that way I don't feel like I have to do everything all at once. Happy to see you thriving!

I'm in the "getting started" phase, but one of the things I'm focused on is finding tools that do a lot of the heavy lifting for me. I'm currently looking into things like generators for blender, cascadeur for animations, etc. It really takes a lot of the mental load off of all these tasks, and makes these tasks feel less overwhelming.

Avoiding burnout is the key metric I try to optimize for, so whatever helps achieve that!

Best tips is, don't have anything else there to distract you, don't open youtube during your work session. If you need help write it down and check it later, and switch to another oart to work on.

The best use of my Remarkable drawing tablet is using it as a todo list. For some reason writing todo's has always been more effective for me, and I can scribble thoughts out along the way. I also have a Notion board to help organize larger projects - but going too hard on all the productivity apps can be an act of procrastination. Perfecting your kanban instead of , you know, working.

Haha eerie, I do the exact same stuff and make games also. Big fan of the easy going flow state. But one factor I'd like to say is it's easy to overuse writing stuff down, I got into a bad habit of where my brain would write things down so much as a habit that it internalized writing a task was equivalent to completing it. I think for those who aren't as easy to commit to a huge framework or schedule that instrumentalization is incredibly important and you need to set up a few different types of "minute" tasks that work towards your goals.

i really like your channel bro.. I'm a solo developer but I'm struggling to get the foundation what I want in my game.. I'm really scared knowing one day that my game will not click in the marketplace. I'm just thankful for people who motivate me like you, can you demonstrate my game into your channel in the future?

I'm glad you liked the video! Regardless of the success of your game, you'd still be releasing it, and not many people can ever say they made a video game!
