    Yo I definitely understand how you feel I went through a similar situation with my hood from a different brand/distributor I wanted a certain style oem look there wasn’t a lot of info or anyone I could find that had the same hood I wanted but the body shop did there thing and made it the best it could possibly be when I installed it the body lines where just a little bigger than before but I love it and would do the same again maybe different brand I used Amerihood after I purchased it I did more research and a lot of people was bashing them but my overall experience was good

    Love the car and your style! Did you say you got the hood through BMC Extreme? And another question on the center console. Did you say you got that from Destroy customs?? Great channel, love all the content and reviews you do 🤘🤘🤘

    Hey man so I got the same hood and it’s amazing looking and they had that lil plate on. However does yours smell like flowers? Hard to explain but the damn thing has my garage smelling like I have a ton of flowers in there and wondering if you had the same and if so did it go away?

    Looks badass though, but totally understandable on your frustration, I would be too. Paying that much for quality hood, need some reassurance for sure.
    Do only Anderson Composite demon hoods have the functional air that connects to the airbox? I want to upgrade to a demon hood, so my T/A has the airbox with the hood connection also.
    I guess it doesn't matter as long as the air lands onto the airbox without a seal? I'm still trying to figure this out, so I can buy me one.

    What’s up bro. When you pay for things, you expect the full service point blank. Stupid question, can the haze be buffed out by just completely ceramic the hood to bring the shine without destroying it? Other than that, the car looks good bro👍🏾👍🏾💪💪

    • @LowLifeMods
      @LowLifeMods  Před 3 lety

      Thanks man. 🙏. A thorough buff and polish should eliminate the haze...hopefully. And then a ceramic after that to seal in the shine. But I won't really know until I take the time to work on it

      @maxbrooks-hoenig4701 Před 5 měsíci

      I’ve been trying to figure that out too I don’t want to drill my hood but also don’t want to damage my car or hood I got a charger hellcat one and it says I need pins but if it bolts on like a factory one, it shouldn’t need them, right?

    • @hydr2170
      @hydr2170 Před 5 měsíci

      @@maxbrooks-hoenig4701 I bought the hood for my charger scat on for about 4 months went over 120 mph no problem at all. By the way if you don’t know the frot scoop Isn’t active so you just need to cut a hole on the back plastic to get air in/out of the engine bay

    • @maxbrooks-hoenig4701
      @maxbrooks-hoenig4701 Před 4 měsíci

      @@hydr2170 thanks for the response! I unfortunately got it damaged from American muscle bc of pilot shipping, so I’m awaiting my replacement hood. My aluminum one I have now is bolted down only by the latch so the latch must be good enough, no? That’s what I can’t wrap my head around. yes it may weigh less possibility it’s own weight could also be holding it down. but if it has less surface area (new one, bc of the holes) it should have less chance for lift. Just so scared to f the pins up or damage the hood myself doing so. & I’m scared to really ‘test’ if it’ll hold without them. Will most likely drill pins however.

    • @hydr2170
      @hydr2170 Před 4 měsíci

      @@maxbrooks-hoenig4701 no problem and the weight of the carbon hood is almost the same as stock you will have to remove the latch on your stock hood and place it on the carbon hood. And I assure you that it is safe to run it without hood pins there is no need for them. And the (holes) the hood scoop only works if you have a open box air intake even if you do I 100% recommend using a cut off saw or circular saw and cut a hole into the plastic on the back side of the scoop for air flow into the engine bay. Lmk if you have other questions

      @maxbrooks-hoenig4701 Před 4 měsíci

      @@hydr2170 really appreciate the feedback, has gotten rid of anxiety as I couldn’t find a review from anyone that has tested it. Figured the warnings for pins was just Anderson covering themselves. I’ve got a rt/392 charger with a K&N so this helps a lot, so I think I will send it.

    Do NOT use the trunk struts on the Anderson trunk lid bro. It causes the trunk to bow in the center. Found out the hard way.

    You most likely caused the hazing from improper washing techniques.

    • @LowLifeMods
      @LowLifeMods  Před rokem

      Nope. Besides my car is garage kept. It hardly ever gets washed. I mostly detail spray. So at the most I would probably cause micro scratches from that. But it wasn't scratches. It was haze in the finish work from not being polished out. I polished it out after this vid. I've done plenty of detail work and seen many finishes. There was no way I caused that. Literally went from the box, to my car, and i seen that haze later that night

    • @beyondthedetails
      @beyondthedetails Před rokem

      @LowLife Mods You 1000% can cause haze on a Carbon Fiber or Fiberglass body panel from improper washing.. You said in the video you detailed it a couple times. Not here to bash you or anything.. I'm a IDA Certified Detailer.. I've seen it more times than I can count . ESPECIALLY WITH carbon fiber.

    • @LowLifeMods
      @LowLifeMods  Před rokem

      @Beyond THE Details you trying to say I caused it is pretty lame. You don't know my experience. Ive owned many cars and many parts. I've never seen that before. Never seen it in any other aftermarket part. Respectfully you don't know me or my cleaning process to come out and say it's something I caused.
