I somehow have to problem with this fees as long as developers are allowed to say these apps are free on android. Bacuse I know apple like to forbid companies from informing there are more reasonable options. Like they banned Spotify from saying that it's price is so high on iPhones only because of apple tax.
Like if they make these rules they should at least take responsibility for them and not blaim developers for high prices

well, good luck to Apple, considering most (if not all) european countries have laws against unjust enrichment, which basically means one cannot receive payment without being able to proove it has a basis. In this case, Apple would be just receiveing money without doing anything to deserve this money (app not stored on their servers, not using their bandwidth...)

If this happened, there would be a huge black market for iPhones, and the EU governments would lose billions in taxes. So it won't.

On my part, I hope EU will copy Apple. 0.50€ for each device produced worldwide, plus 0.50€ per device sold worldwide. Let's call it EU Core fee, like Apple.
30% tax on EU sales. They can also be eligible to 3% EU tax as long as they pay 27% tax on all sales in EU to the country of their local siege.
If they don't want to use EU Core, that's fine too. They just need to negotiate with each country individually, agree to a minimum of 20% tax in each country and an additional 20% tax to EU as fee to negotiate individually. That negotiation licence will have to be renewed every 6 month on the same terms and price. They can negotiate new terms for an additional 20% per word change.
Every year they will have to prove their liability to ensure employment safety. They just need to provide a bank certificate of 1 trillion dollars frozen cash.
And I think every country should adopt this so they can benefit as much as Apple. Charging as much as they can for silly things. Running a country is, after all, also a business. If Apple can talk sh*t why wouldn't nations do the same to extort the same advantages ? Tat money can probably be used to alleviate individual income tax or public services.

A straight 50¢ per app download is probably more than a 30% cut would be for a lot of apps. They did this intentionally so that no one actually develops a side loading app so they can say there's no market for it.

Funny thing that- they actually included a clause that directly disallows any app that would allow you to install (further) 3rd party content, with the only exception being 3rd party app stores... that emphatically can only host "verified" 3rd party apps.
I think the EU will look at those requirements and say to Apple "WTF?!" and Apple might start accepting sideloads of everything... Like Android

This is what needs to be done by more people if you want or expect apple to change anything…and honestly? That’s perfectly fine. People who like apple products, myself included, are willing to purchase their products, with their restrictions…for the most part, they work for “most” apple users and for the ones that it doesn’t work for, it makes sense for them not to buy their products.
In my opinion, the governments of any country, should NOT be involved in this…it has nothing to do with them. This is a “does the consumer like it or not” thing, not a “well, we want to have an apple phone or device, therefore we want it to work the way I want it to” thing…
If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. It’s a very VERY simple concept and in my opinion, more people should be like you in voicing their opinions in the correct way. Let the government do their job instead of dictating to other people what they want. They have too much control of things as it is.

The EU Law system does not follow the US Law Logic to circumstance a certain Law..I think the EU will addresses this attempt very soon.

Apple users do not care. I've explained their behaviour in simple details to educated people and it makes no difference to them. I always relate that that kind of behaviour from a friend or partner (mine being one of these users) and they wouldn't accept it from me or other humans. I've simply come to the conclusion that their users put these devices and Apple beyond any ethical standards they may appear to hold against other things in their lives.
